AFTERBUZZ TV -- Scandal edition, is a weekly "after show" for fans of ABC's Scandal. In this show, host Emile Ennis Jr. breaks down the "White Hat's Off" episode in which in the season 2 opener, Quinn's true identity is revealed and as the Pope & Associates team digs deeper into her past they find that she may be their biggest scandal yet. Meanwhile, Cyrus and First Lady Mellie put President Grant in a compromising position during a live television interview and a Rhode Island Congressman requires Olivia's help. There to help Emile are co-hosts Sofia Stanley, Bamm Ericsen, and Kennelia Stradwick. It's Scandal's "White Hat's Off" podcast!

Thank you. The triangle is integral to the show and the tension, sadness and scandal :) I think this season we're going to find out about what Mellie really gave up and who Olivia is and how much her affair with Fitz cuts at the core of who she is, or set out to be.

I love Mellie! She had her husband, the President, apologizing to her after the stunt she pulled on national television. Have to love her - she's so smart and unapologetically manipulative.

I am so glad y'all are back and I'm liking the new co-host Kennelia.Its funny how much of what Sofia says is either something I'm also thinking or something I didn't catch before but now is beginning to garner my attention.Such wonderful insight and enthusiasm for the show from all the co-hosts.So many questions..Who is Quinn?Who is Olivia?Who is Huck?Will the VP come back?What about Billy? Amanda&Cyrus?Who was on the other end of the phone call?Can't wait for that & all of Olitz scenes!

I totally agree with Sofia about Mellie. I'm really starting to not like Fitz. I was not feeling his rant to Mellie AT ALL. It was so harsh! A part of me feels bad for Mellie. You can totally tell she's so hurt underneath.

Ugh come on guys from the second time that someone mentioned hey who is this guy who set up Quinn's new ID I knew it had to be Olivia even without noticing Huck's uncomfortable looks. I am glad that the show is back and I am eager to see more but I was hoping that the show would come out of the gates with a more impressive start.

1 thing that occured to me when you were discussing mellie is that part of mellie's hurt feelings may stem from the fact that regardless of her genius mind, harvard background, etc. she recognizes that Olivia is really the wife of Fitz's heart, not her. a wife is a supporter, adviser, cheerleader, etc. and even tho M.does all those things already, it's primarily for the sake of the country rather than her husband's feelings.

Very good point, especially because presumably Quinn getting into trouble in the first place could have in fact been Olivia's doing, so there's absolutely no way she could have let her go to jail for life or get executed. Rabbit hole is a perfect analogy, this is going to be a great season.

understand your frustration with Cyrus and sometimes I don't know whether I like him or if I hate him lol BUT in this episode Cyrus actually put Fitz in his place by saying that though Fitz was adamant about not letting Cyrus, Mellie, or the oil lobbyists aid in HIS decision to go to war, he still listened to Olivia so all the stuff about him being Leader Of The World and making his own decisions is BS when it comes to Olivia b/c she has still has a STRONG influence on him.

Clearly, O fills the emotionaly void that was missing for Fitz, but understanding that mentally, but feeling it emotionally are still 2 different things. and Mel may feel that despite what she can't provide in the way of true love for Fitz, what she's had to sacrifice at great cost to herself is not valued or appreciated by anyone, least of all, Fitz.

This is a tough one, I think Olivia dropped the ball way before the trial, she should have never let Quinn work for her if she wasn't going to watch her every move (Quinn was way to lax for someone who escaped a murder charge), then their focus on who changed Quinn's identity was a wild goose chase because they (Huck/Olivia) already knew the answer. Seems like 6 months of wasted trial prep - they didn't play their normal 'fixer' game b/c their hands were tied.

Love you guys! The bombing took place in California, the Prez's home state. It has something to do with his campaign. It was strange also that such a public case involving Quinn-who worked for Olivia- was not even discussed between Cyrus and Fitz, just a quick, "she's busy", says to me that they are aware about the situation as well. The company that was bombed was an electronic company. The company or someone had information that needed to be destroyed. Quinn was caught in the middle.
