AFTERBUZZ TV - Scandal is a weekly "after show" for fans of ABC's Scandal. In this show, host Emile Ennis Jr. breaks down the episode in which the "Gladiators in Suits" realize that a quickly unraveling Olivia might not always wear a white hat when they discover the truth about the rigged White House election. In order to reel in Fitz, Mellie is forced to take extreme measures. David takes his investigation into the Cytron explosion to the next level and arrests Hollis Doyle. Flashbacks to the life Lindsay Dwyer and Jesse Tyler the weeks leading up to the explosion. There to help Emile are co-hosts Sofia Stanley, Kennelia Stradwick, and Bamm Ericsen. When Mellie made the comment that she made Fitz, I took that as meaning she was one that encouraged Fitz and made him believe in himself enough to have a political career.

Fitz seriously didn't go to any doctors appts? They weren't just Mellie's appts, they were his son's too. Fitz hasn't heard AB's heartbeat or seen an ultrasound? I know AB was conceived out of duty not love, but he is still Fitz's child. I was kind of turned off by that.

And Fitz has yet to refer to his other two kids by name. I'm curious to see what Fitz's relationship is like with his kids after seeing his relationship with his dad. I think it would add another dimension to his character.

All I could think of when watching this episode was, how similar Olivia and Fitz's situation was to Wallis Simpson and Prince Edward. Very interesting :) Thanks for a great afterbuzz.

If Liv excepts Edison's proposal I will scream at the tv. Liv and Fitz belong together. I still believe Mellie had something to do with Fitz's assassination attempt. She was acting too suspicious in the limo. Also she induced at 3 weeks which is hazardous to the baby's health. Now I know why Fitz asked her how the baby was when he got back from being abroad. Mellie just doesn't give a crap. Also, David needs to chillout because he is causing too many problems. You guys are right though Liv

I agree. I know that they get to watch the episode once AND pay attention while taking notes, and then they rush to do the show, so I appreciate all that they do catch. However, I wish they had a chance to watch it at least once more to catch all that they missed.

Great review as always guys, Sofia I love u enthusiasm !!u guys are great too .so I agree with u guys there is more than one person in the assassination attempt, I can't help it but think that Edison is involve somehow don't trust the guy, and I am afraid for the next episode if Fitz find out that Olivia was involve in the rigging he may never forgive her, he will feel too betrayed, can't wait not Thursday yet!! Every time I watch u guys I always have a new perspective in things ! Dam Shonda u

I went back and watched the scene with Edison going to OPA and from what he said in describing Liv's state it sounds like he probably stayed with her. We didn't see him leave her place. The scene just ended. Most likely Edison left her alone for that moment but probably stuck around until he realized he needed to get the OPA to help.

Love you guys! You always make my Fridays! I HAVE TO DISAGREE THOUGH! Liv was thrilled at the prospect of Fitz resigning and getting a divorce in Season 1: Episode 7 Grant for the People - Remember Olivia walking down the hall smiling to herself (and feeling hopeful) after the "big scene" with Fitz in his office (00:26:00). I think Olivia's suffering from the fact that she is going to lose everything, including Fitz, because she became distracted by her love for Fitz during the campaign.
