I think Olivia didn't want Huck to run a background check on Becky because she wanted his relationship to progress like a normal relationship. She wanted it to be two people who discover each other. Not one person who knows ever single detail of a person's life. If he started the relationship by acting as if Becky was a client (meaning get all the info you can on this person), the relationship wouldn't have been genuine.

I STRONGLY disagree about the pin. The Pin is Olivia's love for Fitz. When Mellie gives the pin to Olivia to give back to Fitz, she is giving her 'blessing', she is saying 'I'm letting you give your love to him, because I recognise that he needs it.'. Olivia gives the pin to Mellie, indicating 'I want to give this back to him, but the choice is ultimately yours.' Mellie puts the pin next to him, once again giving Fitz what he NEEDS to survive, what she knows he'll fight to live for, Liv's love.

Agreed. Abby's spidey-sense is telling her that David is a good guy and that he really was setup. That conclusion will make her face a truth she cannot handle: Harrison & Olivia lied to her.

In regards to what Verna did.When she was talking to Olivia, and pointed out it looked like Huck, Olivia did not shut her down.I almost felt that Olivia wanted to help Verna out, and give her the option of outing Huck. Remember Olivia once said; "I always have more cards to play". and "just because you don't see anything happen, it doesn't mean anything isn't happening." Can't wait!

I think the reason Olivia is there is because in her mind, its a way to be close to Fitz. Its the only way she can be apart of his life. Olivia never cries in front of anyone. She needs to appear strong all the time. Its part of her persona.

Definitely, he is Olivia's Gladiator so I bet he follows her to make sure she is safe. He knows everything. And for him to say it in that manner, he's hurting and feels alone :(

This doesn't necessarily go with this specific episode, but I think that just as Olivia sees Verna as a mother-figure (as Sofia mentioned in an earlier aftershow), she sees Cyrus as a father-figure. There are parallels between both situations. When speaking with Verna, Olivia said how she preferred to think that all situations could be fixed and Verna said that if she believed that, she was a fool. Olivia held her hand afterward. You are right. I read a comment from @pumkin007 who said "Olivia is a fixer not a preventer". I forgot that in order to maintain she has to push her feelings down and lock them in an impenetrable vault. That's also why she doesn't stop moving or talking. When she does catch her breath that's why she looks like she's a million miles away on the verge of tears.

I think when Liv put the pin on the sheets last epi that sent a message to Mellie that Liv belonged there and how important Liv was to him. It also brought up that painful memory to Mellie again when she first found out. So it's understandable/expected that Mellie would revoke Liv's visiting privileges.

That line is definitely refering to the fact that he knows about her and Fitz, otherwise it would have half the impact. Huck is basically saying, "I know you've made some questionable choices in your love life, Hello married president, so you don't get to judge mine!" I couldn't tell if this is news to Liv or not.
