I just went out and bough China's BEST VALUE and CHEAPEST SUV in Australia - The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro.

And no - THIS IS NOT SPONSORED! I used MY OWN money to buy this car, so I can tell you anything I want about it. Is it terrible? Is it a bad idea to buy a Chinese car? Well, along this series I will let you know. We already bought this car through CarSauce Buy, so now it's delivery day.

I've been driving my Tiggo 4 Pro for about 8 months now, and I have absolutely loved it. The amount of power the motor puts out, the tech and the comfort are outstanding for its price, at least here in Mexico. I unfortunately got a problem with the front camera, which luckily entered under waranty.

Funnily enough, I also purchased a demo with 300km and I've already put 10, 000km on it. I hope you love it too!

I said I would never buy a Chinese car, bought a GWM Cannon in 2021 with zero issues, and just picked up a new daily MG4 Xpower. Only reason for it is the 90km/day commute and trying to save on fuel.

I never imagined myself buying a Chinese car. Now I own an MG RX8. I have had the car for a year and a half and it is wonderful and reliable.I have no complaints yet.

Chery is the manufacturer that exports the most cars in China.
Although their output is less than BYD's, they sell more cars abroad than BYD.
From January to October 2024, Chery exported 941, 275 cars.

Chery Omoda sell really well in Malaysia... Not a surprise because it's better looking, more features and cheaper then what Honda and Toyota are offering.

This is a very popular model in my country South Africa. Recently we have had a steady influx from different Chinese brands and the selection is growing by the day.

When I was in China around 2010 Chery was known to the Chinese as a shit box and most Chinese would not touch one. That said they now have a respectable reputation and have really come a long way. For your use it should be fine, for me I will never own anything I have to put gas or oil in again. I am 100% sold on EVs. Anyway... congratulations, very fine looking auto. 🙂

Im jealous! I just spent two months with two different HAVAL Jolian and one MG HS rental cars, all of which were great. My favorite was the Jolian HEV, all leather (or leather like), navi, all the blind spot stuff and panoramic sunroof. I quite liked it and only used 1/2 tank of gas driving around Thailand for 2 weeks! Wha???

Chery is indeed the most value for money product with amazing quality.

Here in Indonesia Omoda E5 is the top selling ev, and Tiggo 8 has just launched the 1.6T variant with a price of AUD 33K equivalent, the same price as Honda City here😂

I was always pretty anti CVT, but after two months of ownership with the new Swift, I'm sold on them. Obviously bad ones are still really awful, but when they are well tuned, they actually perform better than a conventional auto for certain cars.

In italy this specific model is imported from chery and sold under DR and EMC brands, you can easily see them everywhere, good price and performance are the keys of many of them on the road, 99% of them are LPG converted from factory, I've seen many of this car start re-entry from long term lease with 100k on it and so far so good.
