Hi everyone. Thanks for watching. What do you think about this comparison? Do you own any Lego original or copy yourself?

So I guess if you just want a display peice then stick with the £69 one from Ali.

Just finished the Mercedes F1 knockoff, £18 including 5 day shipping and taxes. £190 for the lego version. No missing bits, easy to build and works perfectly.

sorry but paying 5 times more does not make it worth it

Just finished building up an aliexpress McLaren and haad almost none of these issues, including the fact that they were all printed pieces/no stickers. No issues with wheels falling off. Not sure if you got a bad batch of parts but that's a bummer on the gearbox. I do understand the quality control on Lego is obviously substantially better but at over a thousand dollars with tax for this set plus the Ferrari Daytona versus the $130 I spent for both instead, it is an absolute no brainer.

99% of us build these sets and never touch them again. And to be honest the difference in price is worth any problem. They are still the same parts and the same quantity.

A good rule of thumb for buying technic off brands or knockoffs is that if the set has any variation of those orange numbered gear shift cylinders is gonna have problems with the gearbox. They also make them in light blue for sets like the Yamaha MT10. The copy ones are never lined up correctly.

That's what happen when you build your factory in China. They work in your factory during the day, and then take your mode out and copy at night. You spend millions to do R&D, and only cost them hundreds to copy your work.

I have a Porsche gt3rs set from aliexpress, some elements do not connect so smoothly. I had to slightly file down one cross axle to improve the operation of the differential, but still due to the number of all mechanisms in the set there are minor problems such as too much friction or skipping of gears. However, I treat this set as a decoration and the price of 80€ instead of almost 1000€ makes me accept some imperfections, because visually the model looks great, includes all the stickers, and that's what I cared about most.

Not bad. I've got a few 1/8 technic cars from CADA, Guly and Mould King, but only ones that are original designs rather than exact clones of Lego models. CADA are now doing officially licenced models at a fraction of the cost of Lego sets.

there is no way i would spend 500+ dollors on lego set just to display it on a wall.. knock off 1 will do. its guna go on the wall and no 1 is touching it after that. i guess if ppl like collecting boxex then yea go for the lego sou get a fancy box and a fancy book u will never look at again after you are finished. and plus most of these youtubers get these lego sets for free to promote. there is no way these guys are paying for it

I never buy Lego, it's an absolute rip off... I ordered the mediaeval village square for my wife for Christmas and this turned up by mistake ( I ordered another village square which did arrive). My son had this as an extra Christmas present and it looks amazing.
In the meantime, we are massive cobi collectors and have been for about 10 years.

I have a no name of the Ghostbusters Fire Hall and the quality was so good. Nobody can even tell the difference and the build was a blast.

The thing with chinese Lego knockoff models is that they guys who made it see no difference between technic pins with or without friction ridges and give you only the ones with friction (parts 2780 and 3673, same for 3l pins). Therefore, using pins with friction in gearboxes where they are supposed to rotate freely makes it hard or impossible to operate gearbox without breaking something. The wheels might be a little bit more pain. From what I know these rims are used first time in this model and there was some error in moulding. Solution for this is to put bar piece inside this rims pins (part 87994, perhaps you also have to cut it so it doesnt stick out), which will provide increased friction on these pins and prevent them from being squeezed and keep the rim in place. In my opinion it's still worth it if you just want to put your model on the shelf, or if you have some spare parts and are aware of what I wrote before.

With the fake, there were two sets of orange forks for the shifting. One that wasn't able to slide freely and one that worked. Maybe you used the deffective ones.

Mine shifts but not well. Im pretty sure I know where the problem is, but I can't be bothered to disasable it.

I built de Lego g500 before, and from a quality standpoint, the pices are 85% of what lego is. Most parts fit perfectly, most annoying for me where the scratched pices.

This was my favourite build until now, a lot more fun than the SP3.

I haven't got the P1 yet, but fpr my Bugatti I love the certificate you get with your name on it after you enter the code in the Lego website.
