Electric vehicles from China are significantly cheaper than EVs from Europe. But why? The European Commission suspects that China is unfairly subsidizing the industry to give it a boost over its international competitors.

Are legacy makers too expensive? I think so.
For €65k I can get an i4 35 base spec, RWD 280HP, no extras; or I can get a fully loaded BYD seal, AWD, 500HP for €51, 900...easy decision for me.

Yes but that's not the problem, it is the high price of cars that are made in Germany, France, Italy, Czech... So how about remaking the video "Are European cars too expensive that Europeans no longer afford buying?" The EC should think so! I'm not from Europe, but it's not about EVs only as in my country EVs are not desirable, Chinese ICE cars are also cheaper than European counterparts. So it's not about EV or ICE nor China, it is the European carmakers that need to lower their ridiculous car prices so that they can compete! So, Chinese carmakers not only beat European carmakers inside European market, but everywhere and in all segments! Thanks for the high price of European cars, Chinese EV & ICE cars are in high demand everywhere in the world! So, the European Commission should think wise and in the opposite dimension as in the next decade European carmakers will probably decline massively and may face defunct; Jaguar might be the first, Seat already gone, Citroen, Lancia and Opel might discontinue soon too!

I’ve Zeekr is the best Chinese car . Our cars are very expensive. We German are selling more than 50% our cars in china. When china are selling here mostly German are unhappy. This is an unfortunate.
