stage mgr is still not keyboard compliant, but I use it with BTT to navigate between stages using my keyboard.

You can tile windows to the left and right by either clicking and holding on the green button, or under the Window menu. You can also cycle between windows of an open application with Command + ` (the key just above Tab), or by using App Exposé. Tiling isn't very discoverable or intuitive like it is on Windows/Linux, but I personally prefer the Mac approach of Command + Tab switching between running applications and Command + ` switching between open windows of the currently selected application.

Multi-Window apps on Mac are not closed by clicking the red circle. You have to Quit them using the File menu.
Single window apps, though, are immediately closed by clicking the red circle

I've been using Macs on and off since the 80s. Before OSX, they were in my head as overpriced toys. I've also been using Linux since the late 90s. It's not for everyone. (And then there's Windows...)
