As a Linux user, this is very true. Behind me is 83 Servers with threadrippers in each one running a cluster. Running gentoo with more storage then the entire world. I use it to play IKEA Pancake VR Simulator.

This is the honest truth. "Linux users" are typically industrial or enterprise clients with massive, flexible, and reliable computational needs. Outside of the desktop, Linux has conquered nearly every sphere of computing -- phones, servers, supercomputers, mainframes, and the IoT, just to name a few. As a desktop Linux user, I don't see a utopian world where everyone is a free-software-touting hackerman command-line jockey who can appreciate the technical nature of the operating system coming anytime soon.
