Why Do Windows Users Think Linux Users Are Weird

Linux is such a radically different operating system than the proprietary operating systems like Microsoft Windows. Because of this, Linux tends to attract a different kind of user than Windows. Some would say that Linux users are weird, but I think it's just we are misunderstood.

To your point, just minutes before watching this video, I had a long conversation with someone I had converted to Linux about what they were calling wheffy. After several head scratching moments I asked them to spell the word, and they were talking about UEFI. A person who only used her computer to check email and do some very light word processing, was curious enough about the small differences, and the ease of use she had with her Mint installation that now she is branching out and exploring other flavors of linux on her own. Which is a move I never expected her to make. I'm not sure what I'll do if she decides to take up gaming.

To be fair ... in my circle of trusted friends I'm the weirdo for using Windows on my main pc to game on.
I'm also the weirdo who switched for working from fulltime windows to arch and XMonad...
And I'm the weirdo choosing my terminal emulator and shell because of their names: fish being inside of kitty was just such a nice synergy and sounded cute :3

Eh, I was always weird - even back in the day, while most people were using the MS-DOS based Windows - I was already using Windows NT as my daily driver nothing new here as far as I'm concerned.

Lol i didn't even know that finger was a command. Btw, i think the most useful command is sudo apt install. If the user sticks to linux, the user will get to know that sudo means and other useful commands like grep.
