When developing Unix-based software, don't forget to make your docs as hard as possible to understand for Windows users, and just make it not beginner friendly at all, dont forget to NEVER add links to the 38 other softwares and command lines people were supposed to download beforehand and just assume they did it already.

The most important thing is to always ALWAYS mention that "that isnt a problem on linux" whenever someone is having some minor inconvenience on any other os, even mobile.
But then also to blatantly ignore anyone who asks why you spent 6 hours debugging & changing your window manager because it wouldnt do its one job
