Indians are good in spelling because most Indians speak more than one language (the norm for south Indians is three to four languages).

Every Indian can speak atleast 3 languages. + Whatever you learn on your own or in school. I know English, Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Marathi and Sanskrit (basic).

As an Indian my point is, US administration or Americans in general are not obligated to give citizenship to everybody that wants to get in. Its not some fundamental right that need to be debated. If they are limiting Legal immigrants then its perfectly okay because its their country and they can do whatever they want to. Just like in India, we can do whatever we want to do.

Indians did struggle in English for a loooong time. But have fairly caught up now, at the expense of their mother tongue. Now the Indian languages are going through revival too.

I was wondering some Indians won't be able to make it, simply because we've been taught British English.
We spell color as colour, meter as metre & so on.
Then again, others will manage by taking tuitions.
