To the Catholic's credit, I was there that day (not Catholic, Reformed Baptist) and we were all there to protest the murder of the unborn at the Arizona State Capitol. I have huge disagreements with the Catholic church, but they'll turn out en masse to save babies and I appreciate that a lot.

"If you really think that you can endure and enjoy the full light and fire of God for a second after you die, being essentially the same kind of being you are now, without any kind of divine operation on your soul, then you dangerously underestimate either your sinful nature, God's holiness, or the gap between them." - Dr. Peter Kreeft

I enjoy listening to Jeff dialogue with people. He is patient, eloquent, respectful, brilliant, and loving.
I pray that God would help open Jeff’s heart to the truth that the doctrine of Calvinism does not represent who He is. These words are coming from a believer that was a Calvinist twenty years ago.

Ephesians chapter 2-8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved,  through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works,  so that no one can boast.

Would you like to have a debate with Trent Horn, Apologia Studio(Jeff Durbin)?

Pastors need debate Priests... clearly the Pastor has worked hard at perfecting this approach... most admirable. Would love to hear him chat with Bishop Barron... I am not pro the weaponizing of the Bible but if it must have to happen then set it up with equally matched candidates... without malice.

Thank you for having and sharing these conversations. Jeff did a fantastic job explaining Romans 4 and our declared righteousness, and our standing before God, in Christ.

I'm glad to see you're doing well. These questions and debates were a lot more civil than what I had seen years ago. Keep up the good work. ❤

Great conversations! I really like the patient and civil discussion about doctrinal differences. Great examples on both sides.

Wonderfully done. And kudos to the Catholics for having a genuine conversation and asking good questions.

I really appreciate what you do Jeff. How you sit and reason with people according to the scriptures.

One of them is listening... One of them is telling the other what that other believes.. not letting the other finish his points and judging the other.. this is not a fair conversation at all.

Just a little over 2 years saved here. All the sins that I used to commit on a daily basis has stopped. All glory to God. So far it seems like when we truly fall in love with God we stop committing the sins and we become alert for every sins that comes in front of us and because of our faithfulness to God, we make better decisions.
Another thing. Works comes from our love for God and not so that we can look good for him. Following Jesus has helped me greatly. Life changer.

Ok, this Pastor is misinterpreting Ephesians. Let’s look at the verse.

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God- 9 not because of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

1. The beginning of verse 9 says it’s not because of works. The issue that Protestants have, is that Paul isn’t talking about good works here. Paul mentions good works in verse 10. In verse 9, the works that Paul is speaking about are the Jewish works of the law.

So no, we can do nothing to please God without grace.
