The price of honor. The power of friendship. THE KARATE KID, Part II. Ralph Macchio and Noriyuki "Pat" Morita re-create the roles that brought them international acclaim in The Karate Kid. Karate student, Daniel Larusso (Macchio), accompanies his wise and whimsical teacher, Mr. Miyagi (Morita), to his ancestral home in Okinawa. For the boy, it's a journey to an exotic new world offering new clues to his mentor's secret past. For Miyagi, it's an opportunity to see his father one last time and tore kindle a romance with his childhood sweetheart (Nobu McCarthy). But Miyagi's return also re-ignites a bitter feud with long-time enemy, Sato (Danny Kamekona) - a feud that involves young Daniel in a brilliant collision of cultures and combat. Now, far away from the tournaments, the cheering crowds and the safety of home, Daniel will face his greatest challenge ever when teacher becomes student and the price of honor is life itself.

I wouldn’t have left Okinawa without this Angel. Daniel was crazy to let her get away.

I still miss Mr. Miyagi to this day. He passed away in 2005. We sure miss you Pat Morita. You did excellent with the Miyagi character.

Maybe Chozen is an a-hole in this movie, but knowing he's gonna be one the best friends of Daniel put a smile to my face

Kumiko was my favorite but if Daniel married her, there wouldn't be much Cobra Kai drama. This would have been a happily ever after marriage. She would have brought out the best in him and probably others around her.

Tamlyn tomita said in an interview : in karate kid 2, Kumiko teaches to Daniel how to dance, but in real life, it's Ralph who taught me.

I love the way Daniel pronounces the word "Karate" close to the original pronunciation.

Knowing that Kumiko is going to end up with Chozen in the end makes this scene funny.

I, like many others, am convinced this movie should have been the third one. The perfect ending for the trilogy. Daniel fights to save Kumiko's life, the girl he likes.

Tamlyn Tomita, what a doll. That slightly messy hair. Still gorgeous too.

They are so gosh darn cute as kids and again as adults. I cannot stand the adorableness. Some of the best romantic chemistry on film

1986
Miyagi to Yukie: "I should have taken you with me."
2022
Chozen to Kumiko: "I should have taken you with me."
Chozen's transformation is so wholesome

Chozen tagged Daniel with an invisible roundhouse kick. He really had magic karate skills

4:12 People always say Daniel regressed in his karate from KK2 to KK3. That's definitely true, but don't sleep on the fact that, after a simple kick to the side, the 1984 All Valley Champion rolled around on the ground in pain for a good 3 minutes, all while leaving his 5' tall girlfriend to stand her ground.
