INTP here, I always wonder if I'm actually an ENTP.

I'm a mixture of INTP and INTJ which confuses people whether I am shy or I'm just serious but actually I am just laid back carefree aloof thinking certain things that attracts my mind like Star Citizen, Science Fiction and Magical Fantasy Fiction, Religion, Physics like thermodynamics of how a rocket engine thrusters would work, and abnormal things that an average normal person wouldn't. I'm a junior undergraduate computer science student.

I have to agree on that as I’m the INTP, and my hubby is an INTJ. We both look similar on the surface, like valuing logic and reason and enjoy playing fantasy role playing game, but we have a very different way of thinking, approach thing differently, and have a different value system. He is more about control and being very outwardly structured, whilst I am much more laid back, a lot more difficult to anger, or annoy and more chaotic.

it’s also possible for a mistype between ISTJ and INTP. They have a similar specificity when it comes to their life and routines, very intellectually meticulous, and can both have a bit of neuroticism around people.

Don't forget ISFJ
I have a friend that think that he is INTP but i always tell him he is ISFJ because i noticed every function of the ISFJ in his behaviour he is not very intuitive and don't have a strong Ti and he prefers Fe so he cares more about what people feel over the truth and logic.
Also he is so afraid of future possibilities, he is always unsure and stick with what he already know and exprienced.

I'm an INTP artist who often ponders about how much of an INFP I can be like sometimes... but looking at my stacks, I definitely and without a doubt know I'm an INTP. My daughter (also my business partner) is an INTJ, I can see the similarities and how others may think we're very similar, but our way of thinking and coming to conclusions, our motives, VERY different.

I’m glad you pointed out how different they are from INTJs. It took me, as an INTJ, years to pick apart why I didn’t fit the stereotype of a nerd the way others did, and it’s only been as I raise my INTP son that the distinction between our types has been thrown into stark relief. We couldn’t be more different in our thinking and communication processes and handling emotions, and he can spend weeks learning about things that are just pointless from my perspective, but he doesn’t care. He also gets a massive kick from Louis Caroll while I think it’s dumb. I don’t want to take over the world, but I don’t want to waste my time on absurdity either while he revels in it

In the first tests it was INFP, but I was in a troubled phase where emotions dominated. From the moment I was calmer I only got INTP and until now the result is repeating itself. I noticed that the percentage between Thinking and Feeling are balanced, T 51 and F 49, generally. I'm a musician, that must have an influence.

My mom is Infj and my second sibling is an infp so I'm just an INTP who's very similar to Infj and infp because I've always been very close with them and used to copy them a lot when I was younger

Thanks for your video a few months ago about INFJs being misclassified as INTP. I went my whole life thinking I was INTP but now I'm sure I'm INFJ.
I'm an eneagramic 9, which makes more sense as INFJ whereas INTPs are usually 5s.
