ENTJs are perhaps the rarest of all the 16 Personality types, yet, they can still mistype too.

On standard tests I type INTJ. But on that more popular Sakinorva Cognitive Functions Test I get ENTJ. No one has ever pegged me for an introvert when they met me at work or in public. Now in my mid 30s... yeah I understand it now. I'm an extrovert. I talk to so many people all the time. In public I'm the first to say something often. But once the day is over and I'm home I want to be left alone... why? So that I can read up and research whatever has my attention and make plans. And then I have this burning desire to be the host to dinner parties and bring all the lovely collection of people I've met over so that we can hall share ideas and have cool conversations. Some say its hard to see your first function... and yeah I guess I could never really see how much a Te things because I am fully aware of my Ni and ignore that bugger when not in the mood. And yeah when my emotions bubble up I can be quite impulsive... but at that point I had already predicted we would get to this point and I'm acting on a lot of knowledge that I've saved up and taking actions that look impulsive but I had already considered.

ESFP has the same cognitive functions in different order, no wonder ESFP is a common mistype

My ENTJ dad claims he's an introvert. It would be funny if he hadn't used it as an excuse to tell me constantly throughout my childhood and now that I can be as bold as he is because "he's an introvert too."

My ambition to take over the world is completely realistic 😏 -ENTJ

A few ENTJs will also mistype as INFJs - even ones that start an entire business based off of being an INFJ who understands quite a bit of MBTI lol.
I wish I had ENTJ attributes. I am the worst at time management and quantification.

Here is another one. I have been mistyped as the following types: INFJ, INTJ, INTP and ENTP. I guess xNTP makes sense, as INTP is the ENTJ's shadow. INFJ is a highly logical type too, because of Ni + Ti in tandem. I would never consider an SP type, though - due to poor Se and Si.

I know this sounds impossible but I’ve also seen a number of ESFP mistype INTJs. My guess is it’s due to the stigma that S-types aren’t smart or unique.

My brother is likely one and he comes off as a very chaotic. He's a cars salesman. I sense ADHD issues - I also have ADHD but I am more inattentive.
We can analyze people together and have cool conversations. He acts like a total ham and we laugh our butts off. He's "unapologetically himself" - sometimes his social exchanges make me cringe. Other times he really is just saying what I'm thinking bluntly lol.
Sometimes I feel used by him but I've learned to set boundaries. He notices what I bring to the table such as my Fe objectivity and "mentally centeredness."
I'm often late and he has learned to mostly accept it. After a certain amount of time, he just shows up at my house and says "Alright I'm here, let's go" 😂

Yeah I'm friends with an ENTJ whom isn't ambitious with his work, who is more family oriented (ish) who seeks control but knly over areas he's in or he's touched, and who's hyper efficient and effective at mitigating his loses to his gains all the time. He's even reluctant to take charge if it's during times of fun or relaxation

The way I can tell he's an ENTJ still is his temperament and his goals, although their not overly ambitious to his work field that's because he learned early on his job was better at the level he's at now, no responsibilities over others but efficiency and lack of management over himself, and simply put the woman he pursues has health issues which make him have to consider her far more often than I think another ENTJ would. I'd say he's one of the most introverted no planning types I've ever met because although he may seem like he's got everything together when he touches it he comes up with that damn plan seconds or sometimes minutes before. It's all about temperament, communication style and how his brain naturally moves and problem solves. Sometimes its hard to put him as an ENTJ in my head but whenever we get into debates or he fights his future brother in law (ESTJ) upu can see it on full display

What about ENFJ? That’s a very common mistype for ENTJs.

I think ESTPs embody the ENTJ stereotypes far better than most ENTJs do.

I have a particularly interesting take on this.

MBTI should abandon the Extrovert/Introvert separation, because noone is Extraverted or Introverted 100% of the time. And also because it would be impossible to determine E or I on some NTJs because they purposefully hide parts of their personality to deny others tactically relevant data.

An INTJ for instance is aware that his/her personality invites others to take advantage of it. Therefore switching to ENTJ in critical moments is necessary to suppress dumb ideas. And an ENTJ knows that his/her aura could be threatening to others even when his/her intentions are pure. Therefore switching to INTJ is necessary in critical moments as to not ruin impressions.

Someone claims they're an entj and they have Ni and that's whh they have vision. But I feel that's not true. My guess is estj. How do I conclude if that's true or not? I know em online not irl
