I worked for Walden Books when your first book came out. I remember being puzzled that there was no meat and no oil...I made a lot of recipes out of that book after I bought it. Sloppy Lentils are still my favorite recipe of all the 100's of vegan recipes I have tried.

As always, an excellent lecture by Dr. McDougall. I first learned about him and a whole plant food starch based diet when I watched Forks Over Knives in September 2019. I began reading and watching videos to learn as much as I could. I have lost 120 pounds eating a whole plant food starch based diet! I only wish I had known about it sooner. Thank you Chef AJ and Dr. McDougall for continuing to reach and educate as many people as you can! You changed my life! ❤

Thank you Doctor McDougall for your caring presentation here, to help us learn about the great benefits of the high carbohydrate, low fat, wholefood way of eating plan. Low carb never worked for me, it wasn't until I tried your approach, that I realised what I had been missing out on all these years. I am so glad I gave it a go, I am convinced this is the way to go for our welfare. You do have to be willing to be different from the crowd, but I think that is a small price to pay for the overall joy it brings to your life.

Chef AJ - with unimaginable gratitude for having Dr John McDougall who is so well loved. Question - Chef AJ I bake my potatoes in microwave because I am trying to eat healthy on the run. Is it true that microwaves destroy vitamins and minerals? I do not know where to find the answer to this question. Laura in Toronto

Last night, I commented on a video named "Save your lower back" by a Youtube account calling themselves Ketogenic Fitness. I wrote, "Keto -> atherosclerosis -> degenerative disk disease." They answered back with a couple of lies. They wrote, "Your first premise is wrong, incorrect, misinformed, and scientifically disproven. Which invalidates your second.

AJ can you talk to Dr. McDougall about writing his memoirs. He could weave the McDougall Diet throughout the pages. How he met his wife his stories about Hawaii etc. It should be his last book. Maybe his fans could come up with a title

WFPB for 4 years now and I've never felt better. I just thought that I would put it out there - I think it would be great if you could have an online debate with the carnivore Bat Kay. He professes that all the science out there is wrong except the science that he teaches. I think it would be a great debate.

I love the McDougall diet - its basic, tasty, truly healing and kind to the World - and this was a very fine lecture showing that historical evidence of food and health. Its truly inspiring. Its good for us. Good for the animals and good for the Earth. And if you want to eat a little animal, keep in as low as possible .... at the maximum about 5% - 7 % of your total dietary approach 🎶🍀🎵💚🐸

A friends of mine has been eating low carb, almost carnivore diet for 2 years now. He’s 52 years old, skinny and labs showed good cholesterol levels and everything else looked good. How is that? I would have figured his LDL would be high.
