Dr Westman your videos are the reason I went keto in 2019. At age 70 I had a physical and my doctor told me I probably wouldn't make to 75 given all the health issues I had at time time; I weighed 255 pounds, had very high blood pressure, was prediabetic, and had severe acid reflux. Today, I'm 75 and weigh 173 pounds, which is what I weighted at 23 years old. I went carnivore in 2022, and like Mikhaila, I've seen all of my health issues disappear. Keep up the good work Dr Westman because you're making a difference in the lives of so many people.

I’m 2016 doctors told me I was terminal and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. When I suggested diet or something he laughed at me. I’m still living and I’m in the best health at 63 that I have been in my entire life. Doctors don’t even know what they don’t know.

I seriously thought her and her family had gone off the deep end when i heard about the carnivore diet. Less than a handful of years later i started experiencing distressing medical issues, neurological, cutaneous and digestive, culminating in multiple bouts of diverticulitis and severe gas bowel obstructions, resulting in my being able to digest only meat. I was always a health food nut with a primary focus on fresh whole foods heavy on vegetables and sparse meat consumption. This radical dietary shift damn near broke my brain, but then i started getting better, and began to heal from the inside out. Only 7 months in, but the difference is immense. I am very thankful to the Petersons for having opened the door to normalizing this dietary lifestyle. It's often suggested to me that if my issues could possibly get diagnosed perhaps i could broaden my menu once again. Truth is, I have zero desire to go back. I will probably live and eat this way until I die.

Dr Westman says: It only takes 30 days to see if the diet is able to eliminate a chronic disease. My experience speaks against it: It took 6 months for my autoimmune disease to go into remission (polyrheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and vitilligo). In the first 30 days, not much changed - my digestion even got worse. I got more diarrhea than I was used to (I had irritable bowel syndrome for 40 years - along with the autoimmune diseases). Now I have perfect digestion. The diarrhea also improved after about 6 months. After that there was even a phase where I struggled with constipation. Now - after 2 years - my digestion is working perfectly. What I am saying is: It can take patience. Giving up too soon could be a mistake.

Better late than never, I'm 60 and been on carnivore for three months and feel amazingly better already. And am now fully aware that the recommended diet given by our government and health care system was killing me. Thank goodness I discovered this now so I can enjoy the rest of my life.

I used to have no idea how much food mattered. I thought that it might only have some small effect in old age. Then when I went keto I was astounded how many small medical issues got unexpectedly fixed. Headaches, mouth ulcers, asthma, dry skin, insatiable hunger, sunburn, etc. I thought those things were just normal life for me.

So very brave!!! I love that she had enough guts to try cutting things out to see if her autoimmune into remission! Imagine being the first person to turn your autoimmune off, when every Doctor told you it was NOT possible!!! She had been to a ton of Doctors!!! All of them told her foods don't matter! But she had seen that lemon caused her to feel lots more pain, so she had an idea that what you eat matters! How brave to try to see if cutting out foods would help her...until she gets down to 1....1!!! WOW! I also love Zoe Harcombe's idea of if you are only going to eat a few (or 1) foods, pick the most nutritious! Meat wins in everyway over plants...doesn't mean you can't eat plants...but you are not getting the nutrition you need from them...good if they are NOT bad for your health1

A few years ago, I went to a doctor when I was about to turn 30. He was young and oddly "bro"-like. He gave me medication for hypertension. I asked if we could instead explore diet and lifestyle changes since I was drinking, smoking, and overweight. He convinced me that I should just take this mild drug and it'll make me better. I chose to lose 60 pounds and quit being a young idiot, skipped the medication, and my follow up a few months later he said my numbers looked good. When I told him that I did what I asked to do in the first place and he changed his tune to say that I was still in need of the medication, so fast forward to me being 35 and have developed a rather heavy (and healthy) distrust of the medical education system.

She is not an isolated case. My son had juvenile idiopathic arthritis for 4 years. He was on some pretty heavy immune suppressing medicines. The rheumatologist told us changing diet would have no effect and he would have this condition for life and the best we could hope for was to suppress the symptoms. That angered me a lot and I did a lot of research. After additional tests that I ordered he had some metal toxicities and some nutrient deficiencies. We completely changed his diet and now he has been inflammation free and no arthritis for 5 years now. The last visit with the rheumatologist she just scratched her head and said well that's great for him. You could tell she was shocked.

Mikhaila was the first person I listened to. 2.5 years later, I’m healthier than ever and have started my brother on it with similar results. No way I’d change my way of eating now.
