You can clean toddlers with a vacuum. Children can use the handheld one to clean her with.

Toddlers can get the potty skill by watching other sims use the tolet. So maybe if you had the child used the bathroom a lot and the toddler watch until they're at potty 2. It will take a bit but it might work.

I’m glad they could see mom was happy to the very end. I’m sure they won’t now be traumatized and terrified to laugh. Perfectly happy children. Love that for them!

If you worry about the monster under the bed: there is a special lamp which you can place above the childs bed. This will lead to no monsters spawning under the beds and i think this is such a cool and practical thing. Its called „Coolala, the defender wall light“, its green with pokemons on it. Hope that helps

Toddler sims won't get taken away if they have a bad hygiene need. Only if they get really hungry will they get taken away!!! I know this because I have fully neglected toddler sim's needs except for hunger and they were never taken away.

You should try this again with the Preschool mod. Sending toddlers to preschool gives them full needs by the time they get home.

How to do this without mods
•put the adult in a box with a bed fridge and a toilet
*don’t put a stove and counters they can take quick meals out of the fridge
Put a shower if you want doesn’t matter
Don’t forget to remove the door

thanks for reminding me about the kids can live alone mod. I have a storyline where some frameworks are set and one of them is about divorced parent. Mom gets the kid but step-dad (who raised her from an infant) gets remarried. For awhile after mom dies, I want the kid to be trying to hide it and live alone for a bit before step-dad realized and comes to get her. But I was worried I couldn't do it.

I actually did a challenge just like this but without mods and faired well. I gave the toddler the independent trait for toilet training and thankfully they weren't messy so their hygiene didn't go down too badly. I was surprised at how well my Sim child raised her toddler sister but as time went on the toddler seemed to resent being bossed around in this way by a sibling and not a parent. Lol
I think it would be more realistic if toddlers could at least use the sink with help of a stool.

I wanna see a take on this where the child still has to provide for themself, like the other challenges! being in a house is fine, but the parents shouldn't leave the kids with more than a hundred simoleons. it would definitely be hard, maybe another child sim could be added to the mix to make it easier (?) a working mod would also just make this easier in general

literally in the middle of a storyline with a teen raising her infant sister, Lei and Lila, while their dad tries and fails to get his shit together after divorcing his cheating wife in the middle of an early midlife crisis. to be fair she really was for the streets, lied and told him Lila wasn’t his because she was mad she got caught 😭 at least Lei is more responsible than either of her parents
