Sometimes Parents need to make decisions which their child doesn't agree with but they should always include their children in decisions which affect them. Many parents think they listen to their kids when in fact what they are really doing is telling their kids what to think. They conflate respect and obedience when the two are entirely separate concepts

Even better, I feel, introduce them to success philosophy which they can understand at their pace.
