One thing that is not mentioned is that the official Steam Dock comes with a power adapter, which definitely factors in the price.
I don’t know why this doesn’t get mentioned often.

I can understand that this video is aimed at the mainstream but even with that it is lacking so much info and you can comfortably play plenty of titles at 1080p - some older titles might even go higher.

The main upside to the official Valve dock is the fact it wont scratch the bottom of your deck over time like the aluminium ones tend to do!

Is it me or at 2:13 when he pulgs the steamdeck doesn't charge? I got the same issue, my Dock stations does share the screen, but doesn't charge the Steamdeck

nice video but i wish you told us if i can put the steam deck while its in case or how can i say it my steam deck have raber case (mind my english) and am thinking about buying this jsaux dock from amazone and i dont want to remove my steam deck from its case or cover every time when am about to use the dock so i want to know if its going to fit there with the case on or not

???? Playing on the low resolution of the Steam Deck, when connected to the TV??? Sorry. B.S. You could play in 4k, if you wish (in game settings, put the preferred resolution to "native", and set the preferred resolution, when the game is booted up), of course, not for all titles. I often play some titles in 1080p, and maybe set it to 30fps, and they run and look just fine.

Im pretty sure you can just enable the NVMe as extra storage in the steam deck main settings. I plan on getting a 4tb nvme for 2 player games for my tv

Cheaper docks are a false economy. Some have USB2 ports disguised as USB3, others have HDMI ports that don't last. I have experienced both and so have some friends. We are all returning ours for full refund and buying the official Steam docks. Read the reviews people!
