The only honest reason I'd have to buy a Steam Deck Dock at this point would be for the Ethernet cable outlet that they have, which would be better than having to game over Wi Fi, but then again, I tend to prefer to play single player games, something like of the time, so it most certainly wouldn't be a feature I'd miss.

i think you can really just buy any usb c to multiple usb ports and some adapters to whatever you need (hdmi, ethernet, whatever)

Yup, and if your monitor don't have speakers you can use steam deck speakers for sound

I have the steam deck dock and it is a bit ass, they still have not fixed the problem when you connect your steam deck that white noise and snow comes on screen. you need to plug the power out and in and then hope it works

Shame most TVs don't have them, as I primarily want to play it on TV when not in handheld form.

Samsung m7 works perfectly like this. Also monitor has speakers so such a clean set up

Came here because i just got a SteamDeck. Tried it on my Samsung M8 Smart Monitor.

It worked flawlessly. Display and Charging great

It works in my case if I connect the steam deck straight to my dell monitor using a usb-c to usb-c cable. However, it doesn't work if I connect the monitor to the steam deck dock using the same usb-c to usb-c cable. 🤷‍♂️ My monitor is "Dell U2422HE UltraSharp USB-C 24 Inch Full HD"

Thats dope, but silly enough part of the reason i like having a dock is to just make my "Steam Deck Desktop" setup look nice

I have the same monitor but i still want to buy the dock so my desk looks clean. Plus if I am that close to my PC monitor, I'd rather fire up my PC.

The only unfortunate part of this is the massive drop in performance due to the monitor most likely being 1080p and up due to the steamdeck being optimized for 1280x800
