Math 391 Lecture 14 - Mechanical Vibrations - Motion of a mass at the end of a vibrating spring

Показать описание
In this lecture we cover an application of second order linear differential equations (SOLDEs) with constant coefficients. We examine a spring-mass system, consisting of a hanging spring with a mass attached at the end. Our goal is to find a function that models the motion of the mass. We use several laws from physics to derive the required SOLDE and then we go through a few examples.
