Показать описание
In this lecture we review some problems from chapter 3 of Boyce and DiPrima, we also go over some problems from past math final exams in preparation for the second test. The second test will cover SOLDEs: homogeneous and nonhomogeneous, constant coefficients, SOLDEs needing variation of parameters as well as undetermined coefficients, and applications such as with spring-mass systems. We also look at reduction of order.

Hi professor. At 11:37, why are we canceling -xe^2x? You said it's redundant, so I'm assuming it's ready in the yH. But the one in yH is POSITIVE xe^2x, not the negative one. So shouldn't we write the negative one in our final answer and cancel the positive?
