feels like a jinn since it gets fast at line of sight and when far away, but also a hantu since its slower than normal walikng speed

I think it should be a Jinn. If it was a Hantu, after the smudge slow, it should regain its fast speed in the cold. However this one doesn’t. The trait i found is speeding up when we are far more than 2.5m and it’s seems like a Jinn.

The ghost is slow where the cold isn't and not slow where the cold is. By knowing where the cold is and the cold isn't, you can inversely know where the slow is and the slow isn't. Therefore by knowing where the slow is and the slow isn't, you can determine where the cold is and isn't. When the ghost is where the cold is it is also where the slow isn't. Conversely, when the ghost is where the cold isn't, the ghost is where the slow is. The ghost cannot both be where the cold is and where the slow is at the same time or where the cold isn't and the slow isn't at the same time. Using a formula based on where the cold is (C) or isn't (-C) and where the Slow is (S) or isn't (-S) the speed of the ghost and be quantified. The formula C + -S = ~2.7 while the formula -C + S = ~1.4 is used by the ghost the determine where the ghost will be and how soon it will arrive to where it isn't.

Im pretty new to the game but I had a hantu trick me into thinking it was deo, ran directly for me like a guided missile from the other side of the house (through the ghost room apparently) and immediately slowed to a crawl when it got up to me, i had all the hantu evidence but assumed it was a mimic not giving me spirit box and i was afraid to let it hunt again thinking it would turn revenant or something, i didnt realize hantu got that slow at the time.

Hantu! They are fast in their room (cold) and slower in the rest of the house (warm)

If the breaker is off you can usually see its breath too!

I was to focused on the blinking to determine if it was an Oni or Phantom I didn’t notice it speed up once in the ghost room qwq

It didn't speed up in LoS so it's either a Hantu or Thaye. It sped up in the hallway(suppossed it's cold) so it's a Hantu.

I dont understand why it gets faster outside the living room. I get that hantus get faster in the cold, but theres light in the hallway. Why is it getting faster in the light?

I always just use hantu’s ice breath and turn the breaker off so I can see it lol but this works too..

It’s a hantu because it was only fast in its favourite room which in this case is the hallway indicated by how it sped up. He’s a cutie lil cold boi.
