I was completely lost till the very end, and then… yeah, Goryo.

Crazy how those mimic orbs formed the perfect outline of a ghost

That was the most yokai lookin hunt I’ve ever seen but the end showed that it was a goryo lol

Goryo, because its dots were visible only on the camera.

Goryo. A quick breakdown. You can only see Goryo through a video camera+dots, however, Goryo is shy. It won't allow itself to be seen via dots+video camera if you're in the same room as the ghost room. so you have two options. Either leave the camera and view it through the van or exit the room to the next room such as what we see here and watch it via the camera which is a good indicator because it's MUCH more obvious this way.


Do note that this method does not work for things like open floor basements in which the entire basement is one room. In that case, you're either going to need more evidence or experience to know that Goryo's characteristic only makes sense because you never see him down there when you're down there with dots. This can be screwy with things like Banshee because they like to stick near their intended target so don't stick to one spot, do occasionally move and see if the dots pick up a ghost moving towards you.

What threw me off is at the beginning of the hunt it looked like dots happened

That tricksy Mimic is acting like a Goryo, with those camera only dots.

It’s A GORYO I Like Goryo’s Becuase They Are Easy To Find On Cams Walling Through DOTS

Definitely Goryo, bc the DOTS. Mimics can’t mimic DOTS, especially not the Goryo DOTS, so it’s guaranteed Goryo

at first i thought it was a yokai bc it hunted as soon as he talked but then jt was very obviously a goryo

one of the first things i did when you pulled up the list was "well gotta eliminate goryo since if he got dots, he woulda known it was a goryo immediately". took back that statement so quick at the end

After the hunt I was able to narrow it to Banshee Yurei or Goryo.
Even without the last clip I would've guessed Goryo. Why?

When he stepped on the salt and I didn’t see him on the dots I knew it was goryo

Almost at whatever level you unlock the thermals at. This WHOLE time thought you could only see goryo on camera because it wouldnt dots if anyone was in the house…

Had it narrowed down to Yurei or Goryo by the last clip but the most obvious evidence was saved for last.

100% Goryo, had me fooled for a second thinking it was oni bc of how it blinked in and out while hunting

I was thinking like, can’t be deogen without spirit box, phantom would be more invisible, and wraith wouldn’t step in salt… I was thinking oni until the end ngl, but then it gave it away
