A national insurance company refuses to pay the insurance claim of an 82-year-old woman whose home in Las Vegas caught fire and burned to the ground in July 2023, destroying 70% of it and the majority of her possessions inside, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

I'm a retired electrician. That fire started in one of those electrical panels. If it started from a cigarette, the fire damage would start at the ground, not 3 feet in the air.

I've been a licensed claims adjuster for decades. This is a sickening story! Whenever I have a house fire, I send a fire investigator to determine the cause of loss not the company field adjuster! Just looking at that electrical box is proof the origin of the fire happened in that box. If I discovered during the claim there was a concern of a business being run from the home, I'd verify that information through my before denying the claim.

Liberty Mural does wasn't to PAY WHAT THEY OWE. They are a company I would never work for, and I've refused catastrophe adjuster jobs with them before.
