My brother and his wife and kids moved from Los Angeles to San Antonio about five or six years ago. He was working at a grocery store as a cashier and he continued the same job in San Antonio making about the same money. In LA, he was living paycheck to paycheck, lived in a rundown apartment in a not-so-great part of town, had to use Medicare/Medicaid for health care, stuck in traffic for literal hours per day, and many other problems. After moving to San Antonio, he has bought a house in a good neighborhood now, he sends his kids to private school, and he was able to finish his bachelor's degree and just recently found a better job. San Antonio has been good to him and his family. Very good. I'm considering joining him in the future if I can.

If you voted for Newsom, please stay in California. If not, then I’m okay with you going to Texas.

San Antonio is cheap. Was dirt cheap before the pandemic. Not a bad move if youre struggling in California. Good video, as usual.

I think you bring up a lot of good points without being simply upset at non-texans like some of the other videos ive seen. I would probably miss the mountain ranges and backpacking oppurtunnities a bit too much to leave but you make it tempting.

Please keep Texas special. People from California are driving up the cost of living in Texas. You are contributing to driving up the cost so locals can no longer to afford to live there for your bottom line. You speak about being a military member but in a few years it will be harder for military to afford to buy a home in Texas.

As his state faced a dangerous heat wave this week, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed a broad new law that will nullify a wide range of local regulations, including mandated water breaks for construction workers, beginning Sept. 1, according to The Texas Tribune. Dallas and Austin currently require workers to be given at least 10 minutes to cool down and hydrate every four hours. Texas is already the top state for worker deaths due to heat, according to the Texas Tribune. Don't let the door hit you in the ass! lol

You many want to look at healthcare. California allows Kaiser and I believe Texas does not. I mean it's up to the person, but may be something to consider.

I've lived in Missouri my whole life, and here are the things I don't like about Texas:

1: EXORBITANT property taxes. You are punished for being a homeowner. All so they can brag about not having a state income tax. The state income tax is more fair, you only pay more if you EARN more. Your'e not punished for saving and investing in a home. My sister's property taxes in Texas are 5 TIMES what mine are here in central Missouri.
2: Too hot and dry. The gulf coast is hot an muggy... smells like a locker room the minute you get off the plane.
3: Texans tend to be very arrogant and have this "We are better than everyone else" attitude.
4: They make BBQ without sauce. That's just not right.

I will say I like the conditions of their roads. They do roads WELL, IMO.

This is meant to be constructive criticism. I like you guys, but I would be more inclined to buy a house from you if you both wore suits.
