Have you ever been to Seattle? Or do you live there?

If everyone is leaving, why can’t I afford a house in Seattle?

I just moved to Seattle and I can attest to the crime, the fires, and the weather. However I have lived in other places where all those things are way worse, I wouldn't let that stop you from coming here at all. I disagree 100% with the Seattle Freeze, I love the people here and made tons of friends right away, my neighbors have all been great. I also disagree that it is not diverse, it's like a PBS commercial up in here.

What I really hate is the idea that we should flee crappy cities, and seek out good ones. If everyone does that who will fix these problems? How about instead of fleeing or avoiding Seattle, you come here and help us fix it. What cities will be left if we all flee from our problems?

The fact that housing is very expensive and an average house only stays for 21 days in the market before it’s sold tells that demand is really high meaning ppl are moving here

I lived in Seattle for over 10 year's. The worst part is definitely the people.

Moved out here almost a year ago and I can not see myself moving out from this city. I actually quiet like the weather here I’m from California and I can not stand the sun.

Seattle freeze is a myth. I’ve made plenty of friends.

I’ve had homeless encounter but nothing more than other places I have been to.

I have a car and when I moved out here I used the bus and trains to get places just for fun. There is plenty of public transportation out here. In fact this is the only place I have ever used public transportation in. Just because it was so accessible.

This video is just all negatives and it is over exaggerated.

The worst thing about Seattle is the passive aggressive people

I visited Seattle in 2000, after a few friends moved there for Amazon. I was there for two weeks and absolutely fell in love with it! I am an outdoors person and loved the nightlife too. In my opinion, the people were friendly, and generally spoke to me first. I went out on the bus one day, just for kicks and had a map with me, Someone on the bus offered to help me find where I was going. People are more laid back there, but you have to put yourself out there and try and meet people. I'm hoping I can go back for another visit soon. Since I love the outdoors so much, love rain and the sun burns my skin so easily. I feel that I'd love living in Seattle, if rent wasn't so high.

I left for every single one of these reasons. So many dangerous people there now. You can’t walk in Seattle for a day without seeing drugs, violence, and some real horrors unfortunately because it’s such a beautiful location

This may come as a shock to you but you don't move to big cities unless you have a job lined up. 🤔🤔

I don’t think this person has ever been to Seattle.

Waiting 8 minutes for a train is not the difference between a job and not 😂😂😂😂 so many people in Seattle use transit. More than most cities in the US.

The smoke is also a mix from fires from Oregon and California. Seattle isn’t know for having nearby fires at all.

This is the most dramatic video about Seattle. I’ve been here for almost a decade and it’s fantastic. I’ve learned that the Seattle freeze is a mindset. But most people are transplants now. They don’t have the same social conditioning that most Seattleites do. People are just nervous but if you try to spark up conversation I find most people are starved for connection.

Alot of people in Seattle are getting fed up. The homeless, the crime, the drugs, foreigners, etc.... nobody cares! Yeah, the Seattle Freeze.... I have no problem with it. I am somewhat of a hermit and if people ignore me then I am happy. Seattle is a place where if you have no feelings then you will fit in.

I worked in W. Seattle for two months. Looking back, I was treated like an outsider at work. Friends thought I was set up to fail. I did find friendly people in Kitsap County where I was living. I moved back to the Reno/Tahoe area and have been researching Clark County. I hope the area is as friendly as I've heard.

The mist was wonderful. I love rain, snow and clouds...not crazy about hot, sunny, dry weather. GoreTex jackets and shoes make outdoor living pleasant in Seattle. Reno is great in the winter, but feels like the foyer of hell from May through October. The wildfires curtail outdoor activities for up to a month each summer.

Have you done any videos on Clark County and SW Washington?

I lived in Seattle for 35 years, and it is truly a beautiful city, with a vibrant arts community, a world class symphony orchestra, many theater companies, and is close to the outdoors. Skiing is close by, and summer brings hikes in the Cascasdes and Olympics. Yes, days are short from late November to early February, but it’s cold outside anyhow, and people do work indoors. Summer features long days with mild temperatures. Expensive, but worth it!

I moved out of Seattle for only one reason
It is just toooo expensive to live there decently, unless you making 6 figure income, even then it is expensive.
As for diversity, it is very diverse
