Another another solid informational video but you didn’t really talk about speeds! I’m sure that differs area by area though. In average what could we expect from 5G Verizon?

I have been using this model for about 6 months and it has been rock solid.
Last time I checked though the IOT network does not provide isolation. The guest network does. Very strange choice in implementation.
For that reason I decided to buy a new router I could use to set up subnets with isolation. In doing so I initially set it up in a double net configuration. I have not had any issues with this configuration and since Speedtest shows very little drop in throughput I have decided to keep it this way. Perhaps in the future I may do so but don’t have a need to now.

Hello, great video! I had two questions. After setting up the Verizon Gateway do you need to keep the Ethernet cord plugged into the wall or does it just use the WIFI? Secondly, when I plug in my Netgear Router, on the Network (Home/Office) page of the Verizon Router, and after selecting IP Passthrough. Do you keep the IP Address Distribution disabled or do you fill out info for DHCP Server? Thanks

Hi Behfor, I budged and got myself an AX88U Pro. It's nice, but I notice I am not able to block internet access to devices connected to the IoT network and using a different subnet than the main. Is that a normal behavior? What I mean is, it looks like the Parental Controls do not affect Guest Network and IoT networks when using a different subnet.

I wish we had better Verizon coverage in my area. Our Straighttalk Home Phone service has been a disaster ever since they shut down 3G and went to VOLTE. The signal strength dances around constantly and every location in our house yields similar results. I shudder to think what their 5G Internet service would be like.

Is it geofenced? Or can I use it on my boat?
