Switched from Comcast to Verizon two weeks ago. Couldn't be happier. Also, military veterans are eligible for an additional $15 discount. So glad I switched!!

I live in a small town and they just added the 5g towers here. We decided to switch to Verizon Home Internet because we were getting better speeds just using our phones as a hot spot rather than our internet provider. We got about 12 mbs download and about .4 mbs upload with the internet provider, and we were paying $66 dollars a month. This is by far much better because we now get between 200-300 mbs download and 15-20 mbs upload. It is crazy how big of a difference it is.

I’ve had Verizon 5G home since Halloween and couldn’t be happier. I was skeptical, big time, that it would even work so I kept my Spectrum internet account alive but modem unplugged while testing Verizon. I cancelled Spectrum a day before billing and have never looked back. I work from home and the family streams 4K Netflix way too much, zero issues. I’m pulling a consistent 300+MB down and 20MB up. Ping is a little slower than Spectrum but nothing to be concerned about. $25/mo is a bargain.

I just got Verizon 5G home internet for our place in San Francisco, which is blanketed by 5G ultra wideband. They sent me a different slimmer device than the cube you have. It's probably 1/3 the size of that cube, and comes with a wall/window mount bracket that allows it to swivel, and the phone app has a live map of the 5G antennas in the area to show me where to aim the device. My speed tests have spiked at over 700mbs down, but typically range anywhere from 400 to 550 Mbps down, and 200 to 350 Mbps up. It's definitely faster than the cable based internet options I've tried. Using the autopay and visible discount, I'm paying $45/mo. T-Mobile home internet isn't an option in SF yet, but so far I'm very happy with Verizon.

Thank you very much for this review and everyone that commented. You all convinced me and picked one up today and am very satisfied. I went from an atrocious 3mb with frontier to over 200mb with Verizon. For those wondering why only 3mb. We just moved to a 3 bedroom mobile home. Everything is great about the home and the area but this is the gotcha part. Frontier made a deal with the management to be the sole provider for this mobile home park. They haven't updated to fiber in this area yet, so they're running on ancient dsl phone lines and are charging residents 50 bucks for 3mb. And no, it can't be upgraded. Yet. I was like hell to the nah. We're gonna figure something out and came across this video. So far running on wifi are 2 rokus, 3 tablets, 4 phones and a laptop. I hooked up my pc directly using ethernet cable. All running just fine and still getting over 200mb.

I have Verizon Fios home internet, which I have had for several years and I am quite satisfied with. I just feel much more secure with a wired internet as opposed to a wireless connection.

Excellent video Michael.
I picked up the Verizon 5G Home Internet device recently and the service is very impressive. I don't think the speeds are as fast as the Comcast service I have, but everything is connecting without a problem.
If I decide to keep YouTube TV after the trial, it will cost $54.99 per month for three months, then jump to $64.99 per month. The cost with Verizon 5G Home Internet will be $115 per month before taxes and fees.
My most recent Comcast bill is $136 and will be going up another $6 per month on my next bill due to increases in the TV box and remote fee, along with increases to the Broadcast TV and Regional Sports fees, bringing my total to $142 per month. If the Verizon and YouTube TV cost $120 with taxes and fees, I will still be saving $22 per month.

I've had Verizon's home internet for a year now, and I love it. Its not as fast as my previous internet(TDS), its fast enough for my needs.

This is my recommendation is if you games online this is not wifi you need.. yes it will work but your ping will be 80-100.. but if you just stream watch movies browse the internet social media etc.. then it is definitely worth it 👌

I love it actually. And it is way way way way way way more reliable than my cable internet which constantly had outages!

Good stuff. I got my modem a week a go. And I have around 300 and 25. No issues so far. They just recently upgraded my home tower to N77

When I was looking to replace my AT&T home internet (ADSL), Verizon only offered 4G service in my area. I signed up. A month or two afterwards they started offering 5G. The box didn't need to be changed, although I think I had to reboot after signing up. I have a Verizon cell line that wasn't 5G, but with the half off deal for the internet service, it was worth it for me to switch to 5G for my phone (which is 5G capable). I'm consistently getting close to 300 Mb/sec download and 30 Mb/sec upload using WIFI from my phone or computer to the Verizon gateway. I haven't tried hard wiring with Ethernet, but suspect it would be better. 5G direct from my phone is about 200 Mb/sec better. Still, I'm very happy with consistent 300 Mb, and with the service overall. And as you said, it could not be easier to set up. Since I always change my network name and password, I simply installed the new Verizon service, changed my net name and password to that of my old network, and everything connected like I hadn't made any change at all.

I have had it since January 2023, it replaced my Starlink. The speeds have been faster and much more consistent than Starlink at 1/3 of the price. We only have DSL in our neighborhood, so until we hopefully get fiber this is a great option.

Right now Verizon is offering an Xbox Series X and $100 gift card for signing up for home plus. It’s $80/month, I’m considering them among other companies and your video was very helpful!

Thanks for the review! Signed up today as it’s been made available in my Chicago suburb area, after they had removed it for several months, not sure why. They’re also hooking me up with a Samsung Chromebook!

Honestly I'm just there's more competition in the internet space, Many cities only have one internet provider and with cell phone companies using satellite internet more people will have options if available in their area

Thanks for this info. I have been thinking about changing to them. $50.00 fee for
installing isn't bad and I would love to get it. Just quit procrastinating and do it. Thanks
Michael. Merry Christmas to you and your family. 🎄🎄☮☮🕊🕊☺☺
