Yup!! Been practicing it for almost 50 yrs. Interestingly enough, when I was younger I didn't need it but now at 65, I carry. Aging will humble you. When you get older, it's too painful to roll around on the ground. These days soreness seems to last and last. Injuries last years not a month. So anymore, I'm into slicing and dicing. You can do escrima/arnis/kali even when you're old.

Brother it’s just a knife. The technique isn’t what makes it powerful, it’s just a guy with a knife. There was a video of martial arts guys vs a guy with a knife and every single one of them was marked and would’ve died in an actual knife fight
