I'm German and I wouldn't eat in Hofbräuhaus. Catered to tourists, in every small town there is a better oppertunity to eat authentic geman food. Bavarian cousine sure is fine, but there is more about Germany and in everyday life we eat lots of mediterranean, oriental, etc food.

Hofbräuhaus is just a tourist trap. On places like that you don't get real german food.

Yeah, showing mostly bavarian food or food from the south of germany is whole german food. Why don't you try "Thüringer Rostbrätel", "Gehacktesstippe", "Bratklößchen", "Gehacktes(Mett)", "Königsberger Klopse" or in Hamburg/North Germany all the kinds of Fish foods or the "grüne Soße". There are so many foods. But americans most of the time show only Currywurst, Schnitzel, sometimes Döner, Spätzle, Sausages... Those are nothing special anymore. It's like going to Italy and only eat Pizza and Sauce Bolognese. Sorry there is so much more.

Only an American would say a Bavarian restaurant is THE authentic German restaurant to eat German food… I hope your trip throughout Germany made you see that Bavaria is not representative - in any way, including food - of Germany at large…

btw its not allowed in germany to film random people on the street without their permission (Datenschutz) so i wouldnt do that, its not a very good idea... (i love how you said that döner is healthy)
