How to get 2-Step Auth for your account in War Thunder

This is an entry for the War Thunder Wiki: Short Guides Competition!

You will need a mobile phone with a working number to be able to apply two-factor authentication to your account, as binding a number to your account is a requirement!

When I clicked on the two step authorization I just brought me to page where I have to choose an account and then once I choose my account the only thing that shows up is a thing to change my verification questions.

but its not working cant Login cuz the 2 step BS is not sending the code to my SMS or email, and its clearly binded i trided change pass word and i see the last 2 digits of my cell phone number but sit there waithing and get no sms, plus you cant get support unless ur Login so not what one supposed to do
