Apple - making easy things unnescessary complicated. Like reactivating my apple ID ten times a year. What a PITA. Sometimes I get an option to just have an email sent with a click link and sometimes I am in a loop of "no active ID", "Please reset your PWD" and "cannot reset PWD because ID is not active" shyte. Last time I bought anything from you guys.
And quite honestly I am one step away from just smashing that thing against the wall and be done with it.

I had to reset my iphone and is now asking for 2FA. The prompt says to go to my other device like computer to get code. My computer is turned on and still no code. When I try to login to apple with my login it asks for 2FA. Every device I have that should give me 2FA is all asking for my 2FA to login. Time to switch to Android.

Why can’t you turn this off? What if you had to get a new iPhone whilst overseas and you don’t have another trusted device? (It’s unreasonable to expect users to carry another Apple device). One of the easiest ways would be to log into to your email to retrieve the authentication code.

So a potential solution would be to log into to let’s say a random computer at a telco store in a foreign country which may be insecure to retrieve the authentication code..

I just bought a new iPhone because my old iPhone gets stuck on the on screen with the apple, but never fully turns on, it just shuts back off for a few seconds, then tries to turn back on! It stuck in the same loop! Until it runs the battery dead!

Apple's two-factor authentication works so smoothly that I haven't noticed that I've been using it for a long time. You don't have to open up an authentication App or your Messages App, it's just a pop-up

Why does apple force users who don’t want it to use two factor authentication? Why would a company force it's paying customers into using a product they own in a manner they don’t wish to. It’s as if I don’t really own the product I paid for.

Well i have only ONE apple device...So i could not log in to my icloud when my iphone (only apple device) broke down, since i dont own any more apple devices to use this dumb 2-factor crap...it was impossible to log in to my icloud from a PC...had to go to a physical store to get help. And as it turns out i cant even turn this "feature" off anymore...im not happy.
