i live in new jersey where home prices are at least double what people pay in redding. and my property taxes are nearly $14k a month. i think redding would give me around a 50% raise. 😂

It's a conservative area. The people are friendly and helpful. My son from LA was here and he was amazed at the number of people offering help us load at the Home Depot parking lot. Shopping for food, people going the other way in the isle would say "Hi". Stunning for a guy coming from a place where looking at somebody could get you shot. California has many places that embrace left wing ideas. If that is what you like, please go there. Most folks here have traditional values. Don't come here and try to change it into the hell hole you just escaped from.
