I did my Annual Service at McLaren Palm Beach on my 720S last week, and that total, with taxes and all fees, was exactly $2, 366.37. An independent high end repair shop will do it for you for around $700-800. I take it to the dealer because the car is still under warranty, and I don't want to risk that.

I don't know what dealer charges $5500 for the annual service. That's ridiculous.

I own a McLaren and I drive hard, often and fast. I have had an oil change and the 15K service done at Exotic Specialty Services in Huntington Beach, California and it was less than $3K total for both services. These guys are McLaren specialists, Brian and Dan having been the service managers of Ferrari and McLaren of Newport Beach. Dan is one of the few mechanics certified to work on the P1. Master tech service without the dealer ripoff. Thanks to Chris of the YouTube channel, Supercar Driven for referring me to them. Stradman has also had his car serviced here. If you drive your McLaren, it won’t break. I’ve owned mine almost a year and a half and it’s been dead reliable. 4K miles in the first year and driven throughout the western United States. I drove it over 700 miles once in a day. These cars rock.

The first annual service cost for the 720 is 1800. The 2nd is 3400.

I feel like I speak for myself and many others too, Ik people say don’t buy a car that cost more than your house blablabla but if it’s what makes you happy and your passionate about do it, cars are fun and these types of engines won’t be around much longer so enjoy them now while you can

the carbon breaks are only really for if you track the car alot steel is better for street because you dont have to warm them up for good stopping

No matter how aggressively you’re realistically going to drive on the road you’re not going to go through a set of ceramics in a year. Even if you tracked the car frequently and at that point you wouldn’t be driving this anyway.

As someone who works in dealership quick service fluid services are far from a scam. We see the conditions of fluids at 5, 10, 15, 20 thousand miles and so on. The only reason they want you do it yearly is because it’s god damn super car. Parts are very expensive and these cars are uncommon. going 30k miles on original coolant would be a sin.

How do you put carbon ceramic replacement cost in, but not tyre cost lol. You can change tyres about 20 times before you have to think about carbon ceramics.

That's crazy! I would just work on it myself and if it breaks then that's the time it will go to my garage mechanic.
The parts nowadays are interchangeable because the parts are from all the manufacturers put in to fit together.

i can change my own shit for like $400 and you only doing brake pads ON A DAILY DRIVER once in four years which means never in this car

Do the job by urself and save a whole bunch of money simple…about brakes I’m not sure…but u really don’t need the ceramic ones for road use. U could install something different…like brembos or an aftermarket option to save a bunch.
