Her boytoy being the big bad would be kind of funny. Like he has to sneak around to get everywhere before her and dress in his spooky costume in hiding before she sees him.

This format that Disney keeps using where they cut a long movie up into episodes is so weak from a pacing and story-telling standpoint and I'm shocked they keep doing it.

Here is what I think the twist is going to be: Mae ends up being killed by the Jedi, and the Jedi for political reasons try to cover up the death (perhaps she is killed while unarmed or after surrendering). This betrayal starts Osha down the dark path. The actual "acolyte" is going to be Osha by the end of the season. It would be a great way of foreshadowing how the Jedi are already beginning to allow political motivations to guide their actions, as opposed to the will of the force or doing the right thing.

If the masked being IS a Sith and not another Dark Jedi or a different kind of Dark Acolyte, they'd be either Tenebrous or Plagueis, as they were the Sith at this time. Unless Disney Canon recons this, like so many other times.

A theory I like is the one which says that Mae's master is an apprentice of Darth Tenebrous who is trying to find an apprentice to overthrow his master. He eventually will fail to do so and Tenebrous will takes on Plagueis.

Honestly, this was the first time in a long time I felt like a SW story drew me in. I really like Sol’s character so far, and I was really pleasantly surprised that they didn’t take the obvious and idiotic route of making finding Oshy over the poisoned master’s body reignite suspicion that she was the killer

Yeah, I agree with the long movie assessment. I wouldn't mind if they split it into two parts (like Kill Bill, for example). At least that way, you could also have it in theaters, too!

No. The show is dumb. It makes no sense; the character motivations aren’t explained, and the jedi deaths Mae causes also make no sense. It’s so cringey.

Why would Indara just let herself be killed? Why would Torbin kill himself? It’s like some post-modern story where people just do things for the heck of iy

In short Disney Star Wars absolutely sucks.
You dont need a spoiler warning this show has no plot. This show has no soul. This show has no Star Wars.

My opinion so far has been great. I didn't tune into any of the pre-release stuff like over analysed theories or people talking about their reactions before it released. I just watching the trailer when it came out and waited until it released so the twist of the first two episodes wasn't spoiled for me a month in advance. And when I watched the show on Disney+ I didn't have any video quality issue. So all I had was the great new characters, well made action scenes that really showed the true strength of a Jedi Master and was pleased with the focus on the Jedi code, depictment of branches of Jedi (Sentinels, Guardians and Consular) and reintroduction of beloved force abilities like Force Barrier into main Star Wars show.
