I’m a Baptist but more so I’m a Christian, a follower of Christ, a firm believer in Jesus the author and finisher of my faith.

I was baptized by catholic as a baby. My parents grew up practicing through school years but stopped going after that. They never pushed religion on me. I’ve always believed in God. I’m 41 now and would like to find a denomination that fits my beliefs best. I have researched several and this one seems closest to what I’m looking for. Hopefully I will get off my bit and find a church soon. Thank you pastor John.

I am a conservative presbyterian and I really appreciate this, and the appeal to unity at the end. Well said.

I go to a baptist church. But this is the real truth. Denomination is man made. God calls us to follow Him and His word Purely that’s it. Not a denomination. Many denominations like baptist today take things out of the bible and change it…

The beauty is in the oneness of the Body of Christ. Thank you.

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Romans 12:3-5)

In terms of theology, I would be described as a Reformed Baptist, but simply prefer to be called a Christian, a follower of God incarnate, Christ Jesus the righteous.

When I was growing up my grandma and mother were catholic but religion wasn’t really important in my life meaning my mother made it known that she believed in god but we didn’t go to church often. Now as an adult I do go to church more but I go to a baptist church bc it feels more relaxed and something I can better understand

I am a Christian. A Christian only. I can search throughout the pages of the New Testament; and find no mention of a Baptist church. Neither can I find any mention of Catholics, Methodists, Episcopalians, Presbyterians or Pentecostals. However, I do know that Christ came to establish HIS church; which is apart from man-made creeds. Sincerely, Paul from Texas.

I thank the Baptist’s for instilling a strong passion within me regarding my Faith. I was raised Baptist, and was baptized at 13.

Currently attending and looking to get into the Christian Orthodox Church.

Yes, I traded potlucks for fasting. God Bless you all! Also look at how baptists treat communion compared to other Protestants.

A transition from death to life, Baptism is the symbolic admission in faith, to accept the ways of God.

True, the Reformation didn't go far enough. The Reformers should have sought to disentangle the church from the state.

When the church gets tangled up with the state, there is bound to be 2-way influence: (1) The church influences the state for good, and (2) the state influences the church for bad.
But the church is vastly more important than the state, so it is crucial that it is kept as free as possible from being influenced by the state.

I was a Catholic because I was born into it. Now I’m a Christian and I attend a Baptist church.
