I’m newly saved about two and a half months ago. I’m currently attending a non-denominational church, but it’s really big, and most of the smaller churches in my area are baptist. The thing I don’t like about denominations is the divide it creates. It seems to put a name to Christians besides simply “the church”. I agree with the principles of the baptist church, but my one reservation is this- will being a part of a denomination hinder my ability to spread the pure gospel in any way? Would it be toying with the eternity of unsaved souls? If I were to be part of any particular denomination, I would be baptist, but I’m worried about the “division” and how that will influence outreach to unsaved people. Thoughts? I welcome any other opinions or wisdom from past experiences. I’m still a new Christian. Thanks!

Pastor, could you address the Baptist thoughts, experience, 'feelings' toward the Gifts of the Spirit? I.E. being slain in the Spirit, speaking in tougues, physical healing...? Also, the lack of an overseeing 'Body' above the local body of Baptist believers I believe is not scriptural. I, myself have three good Christian friends(males) who I have made myself accountable to remain pure, being responsible for my actions and walking out my Faith.. Why wouldn't I want the same kind of accountability for the local church which is also subject to sin, errors, poor judgment?

Pastor Martin I am a former almost lifelong Episcopalian who left the church due to its being pro choice and pro LGBTQ. I am looking for a good Bible-based church. I am a huge fan of Dr. Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas and I was thinking the Baptist Church may be a good one for me. One question I have is how is the Baptist Church different from the Assemblies of God and maybe the Church of Christ or Church of God?

The Seventh-day Adventists also have an official position on the separation of church and state as well. And was shown in the supreme court case Alonzo T Jones vs senator Blair in 1888 was on this exact topic.

Me an my son was going to a assembly of God church but after learning about Bethel music, hillsong an all these others that are not Godly music or Godly people writing these songs but my church that's all they sing an have the children singing it also can u please help me understand this better there is a Baptist church down the road from me I'm thinking of taking my son tonight .
