What I love about all Baptist churches, even the ones in a conference or association, is that churches are still pretty independent and can operate as they like. No big church government dictating what to believe.

A correction to this video is that most Methodists see Baptism as a celebration of prevenient grace, not as the New Birth. Like Baptists, Methodists teach that the New Birth is the time in a person's life when they realize the need for salvation, repent of their sin, and accept Jesus as their Lord & Saviour. It is a 'decision' each person makes and hence both Methodists and Baptists are known as proponents of 'decision theology'.

As of 2024, due to “the one church plan”, I along with my older family members who are not able to type denounce the United Methodist church and the bishops that have so strongly led people away from their faith. You don’t talk about Jesus as much as you do politics, or even food. I always knew I should’ve been southern baptist.

I grew up Methodist but have found some of their teaching to be incompatible with scripture. I am now Independent Baptist. This video was fair and accurate to both.

I know of one ordained minister that is a practicing lesbian in a United Methodist Church and has been for at lest three years.
