Is Procrastination a problem you just can't get the best of? In this video I give you a 3 step process that will ELIMINATE procrastination from your life.
Step 1: Change Your Thinking. Recognize there is no such thing as Procrastination, just poor prioritization. You may also need to change your thinking about the task. Previously you may have been thinking of how hard the thing will be, or how time/energy consuming it will be. Instead focus on the benefit you'll get after doing that thing and how you'll feel.
Step 2: Create Urgency. The thing you're procrastinating about is important. Act like it. Hold yourself to getting it done, RIGHT NOW. The house is on fire. There's no time to second guess, it has to be done NOW.
Step 3: Do it. Put your Nike's on. Refuse to allow anything to distract you or keep you from doing what you know needs to be done.
Bonus: Pat yourself on the back. You've been meaning to scratch this off the to-do list for a while. Even if it's something small, you got it done. That's an accomplishment. Enjoy it.
