If you're first idea is to "write down everything you do in a day" then YOU DON'T HAVE ADHD! !ol

Something no one with adhd and procrastination issues would do: write a list of everything they do in a day, then have pluses and minuses for each thing with different meanings??? Wuutt??? I wanna procrastinate more just from hearing that.

Writing everything I did in a day would be highlighted in RED 1:42

I have tried every day timer, journal. I eventually got an empty. Notebook and every night before bed would write out my day in excruciating detail. Like 5am wakeup go into the bathroom, brush my teeth, comb my hair etc. Like I wouldn't write hygene, I'd write every step of hygene. Then I'd write out like 515 weak to kitchen get a glass of water and take vitamins. And I would do this for my entire day. I found my productivity went from 30-50 percent to about 60-80% successful. Do I write every day? Not always some days I don't have enough that I need to write but I do when I am stressed with alot on my plate so I can visualize everything.

I like this concept but would add a note of opinion here - I suffer from ADD and now take medication. I actually find that if I put my hardest tasks into my highest energy part of my day (early morning / morning for me) then I can actually push through them. If I take your suggestion and put them in a lower productivity part of the day then I am now up against a hard and challenging activity when I have low energy which means I won’t ever get it done. If you flip those two I would say your system would work, otherwise it’s a recipe for failure as the hard and challenging tasks will always fail and never get accomplished. I hope this makes sense

Great vid! I cured my procrastination with to do lists and also telling somebody i plan to do something (like your grandma) as a man your word shall be solid so i do it everytime. But I struggle with remembering what i study no matter what method of studying i use it is as if my brain randomly selects what information stays. 😢

Getting the book and writing in it is definitely RED+++.
I absolutely need to do this though.-

Apparently, I didn't need to take the top off the green marker.

This tracking list idea is absolutely not for me, I would never complete that. I think to-do lists work great and the minute challenge(even combined with to-do list) where you do the dreaded task for a minute at a time daily and increase it slowly over time. A good example would be any kind of household chore if this was your procrastination, pick any single chore or group of 2 or 3 chores and do them for one minute a day every single day, whenever you are ready bump it up to two minutes a day every day etc. until it becomes a habit you are maintaining. It trains your brain to adapt and accept the fact that it is not at all hard to keep the process in place and far less daunting than you had made yourself believe it to be. You will even be surprised at how small the actual amount of time that's needed to get satisfying results and make you feel accomplished for conquering what you thought was a boring nightmare. This small step approach will help cement the habit that you will benefit from so much.
For some other bigger tasks you can start at 5-10 minute intervals such as exercise programs or school studying and follow the same pattern over time as you are ready!

I started taking l’theanine recently and I was suddenly getting really bad shoulder aches which felt like bad knots but I couldn’t get rid of it with massage. I then read an article which mentioned the link between acetal choline and increased glutamate levels being associated with l’theanine. I then decreased the l’theanine and it instantly eased the pain. Do you know anything about this and what I can take to counter act this possible side effect as I really enjoyed the effects of the l’theanine. I also read that low gaba was associated with high glutamate levels but this wouldn’t make sense as you said l’theanine increased low levels of gaba? Would taking taurine with it help?

Years ago my company provided us franklin planner kits and trai ing ro use it. It helped me stay on task. Not perfectly but it helped. A few years later I got my ADD diagnosis and the meds helped.
Getting started is still a problem though, I'm 68 now.

Does this actually works? So writing everything I do in an immediate day is a turn off for me, but I think it's worth a shot. I'll see what will happen, thank you.

This video is as funny as an SNL skit. “Here’s how to fix your ADHD!” Then go into highly complex steps that no ADHD person could ever in a million years follow.

Do these productivity hacks for ADHD actually have science to back them up. Whats the success rate?

All good, except the order of tasks. If you do the green stuff first you won't do the red stuff because by the time your day is over you are done and feel tired. You have spent energy doing what you like and is productive, so those tasks that you don't like and are also productive are still there waiting for you... And they need to be done anyway, so you are not solving the problem if you put them at the end of they day; you just put more stress on yourself because you ate your sweets before dinner; you got the reward before doing the work.

Instead switch the red with the green and do them when you have the most energy; so you can get going and then move to the green tasks. Or at least start with some red and move on some green to get more energy (which cause context switch, but it is also recharging you at the same time). It has been proven that people with ADHD have a very low tank for mental energy so switching activities often is actually beneficial for them, compared to people without ADHD.

Those saying ADHD keeps you from writing things down is false. It is an absolute challenge, but it is possible. You have to consciously tell yourself to do this EVERY DAY. I have suffered from severe ADHD paralysis my entire life. My parents took me to probably 20+ different therapists and spent thousands of $ to try to help me but none worked. I will beat it and I have NO excuses because I am fed up with it and once I conquer it I will make it my life goal to be an example to other that they can conquer it as well! This is NOT God's will for me and he created me like this for a reason! To conquer it and show others how they can do the same!

"Beat ADHD procrastination in 3 minutes!!" Okay, so the first step is to write down everything you do in a day, for a week. Seriously? Very helpful, "Doctor"
