I must say that Mr. Allen was a joy to work with on set. I got to work on the Santa's workshop (shot in an old Colgate factory) scenes as a stand-in and was amazed at how humble and caring Tim was towards the cast and crew. He made us laugh, got us drinks and was an all round gentleman.

I always wondered why Scott didn't just shave in front of his ex wife to prove he wasn't doing this on purpose. She'd have a hard time explaining the beard that grew in in 5 seconds

"There arose such a clatter", is a line from the poem Twas the night before Christmas

The second movie was pretty good and made sense. Like when has there never been a Mrs. Claus? It makes sense to introduce her and made for a good story. The third movie seemed like a cash grab to me.

Yeah, I liked the sequels. They never quite captured the feel of the first movie, but I still enjoy watching them.

Nice Bob Ross impression at the end. Loved it. 😁

Tim Allen as Santa was excellent preparation for his most indispensable role. After traversing an entire planet in an impossible single night's time, only one remaining epic journey remained: To Infinity, and BEYOND!

I love this movie! I think Scott Calvin IS Santa to me. Tim Allen should always be Santa in every movie that features Santa Claus.

"the idea of Tim Allen turning into Santa is wierd" Yeah, that's the point and comedic part of the movie.

I have the VHS copy with the old dialogue, and I amazed my family when I told them newer versions do not have the line. It always gave us laughs.

What about the Denny’s scene? It’s an American institution.

I love that you’ve included so many Christmas movies in your videos. After having more difficulty each year in finding my favorite holiday films in free streaming services, I’ve started actively collecting Christmas DVDs; if I have to pay to watch them regardless, I’d just as soon own them. And your insights have added to the enjoyment of this new hobby. I did own a few Christmas movies before I started this project, though, including this movie which I watch on DVD most years. But your comment regarding the deleted 1-800 phone number scene motivated me to pull out my old VHS to peek at the opening scenes — and sure enough, there it was! I was excited to find that, and if you hadn’t mentioned the pre-1997 VHS I likely wouldn’t have ever missed it in the DVD release. Yet, it sounded very familiar in the VHS when I learn it. Thanks for sharing your film research.

It took me like 20 years to realize the "Clause" in the title was the legal term. I thought it was just a slightly misspelled, awkwardly on-the-nose title.
