The iPad calculator app lets you take notes and auto solves equations as you write them which is also cool.

I'm a professional writer and I have the reMarkable Paper Pro and it's worth every penny. It give me distraction-free writing with eye strain and mobile app support. I also have an iPad, but I just can't use the Apple Pencil in the same way. It doesn't feel like paper, like the reMarkable

I bought the remarkable paper pro because i had an ipad but I only used it for Notetaking. It kept dying on me in class and i constantly had to recharge the pen which was super annoying.

My first E-Ink device is remarkable, and I’m really enjoying it. I already have an iPad, but it’s not comfortable for reading, and the Apple Pencil doesn’t provide a great writing experience, even with a matte film attached to the display. Additionally, the visual comfort of E-Ink displays is significantly better than LCD or OLED screens.

These two devices offer very different user experiences. I prefer E-Ink for note-taking and reading eBooks over the iPad. However, the downside of these devices is that they are more expensive than they should be.

The main issue I have with the Remarkable (and Boox and all the other e-ink drawing devices like the Kindle Scribe) is that I don't have sufficient control over where the data lives. That's true for iPad apps as well, because I've had data loss in iCloud. Still, as a digital writing experience, the Remarkable is definitely up there: an iPad with a PaperLike screen protector is not as good.

I was leaning towards the remarkable at one point b/c I planning to studying for a couple of certificates and wanted one of my tools to be easier on my eyes :D

I'm a fan of paper because you don't have to connect it to a charger ;) Sorry! :D

The Remarkable need to be compare to traditional notebook, rather than with an iPad as it serve two different purpose.

remarkable pro is too expensive and not large enough to exclude the outstanding tool bar alongside the screen from writing and reading area.

I love both devices, but the iPad doesn’t have to be distracting. Everything on my iPad is JUST for creation and organization. Leave anything else on your phone or laptop, and put those on silent or turn them off when creating. I do like the reMarkble Pro, but not on my budget 😹

Remarkable’s price doesn’t justifiy buying it

Put tracing paper in your ipad and turn off notifications

Anyone who puts such comparisons online has no idea. Such comparisons are like comparing apples with oranges

I was considering a digital note taker instead of a new iPad, saw the price and said not if I’m not a billionaire 😂
