I just received my remarkable paper pro. It took me exactly 20 minutes to put it back in its box and request a refund. This is nowhere near the experience of a remarkable 2. The noice is the worst. It sounds like writing on an iPad. Gone is the paper sound. Its hard surface sound is horrible. I can imagine in a meeting to get all the attention I don’t want. That is the main reason I don’t use my iPad anymore for this kind of thing. Also the refresh is very disturbing. When using color the repeated refresh is very distracting. It feels like good quality, but so does my remarkable 2. Another very disturbing thing is using the marker. Even after erasing you can still see the ghosting until you switch off and on again. Very strange. I am waiting for the remarkable 3, hopefully arriving next year. I don’t need color, backlight (hardly works), or the bigger size. For some it might work, but for me, using it purely as a paper replacement, note taking, and generally practicing my hand-writing, the remarkable 2 is perfect.

Nice review, its nice to hear it from someone who understands what these things are used for and don't have unrealistic expectations of what this technology is.

I was happy to purchase a rather new, very gently used Remarkable 2. Including plenty of tips, case and everything that comes when buying brand new. The owner wanted to upgrade to the Paper Pro and sold me their RM2 for $250, needless to say I was very happy with that.

I fell in love with the reMarkable 2 back in 2020. It was a spontaneous pandemic purchase that turned out to be something that fit perfectly into my old-fashioned technology life. (I'm a paper/fountain pen guy.) I've used it heavily since then, and even bought the type-folio. The type-folio has proven to be more of a luxury, but I do like it.

I was in love when I heard about the color. I was going to wait, but eventually caved in. I'm not making house payments as of last spring, and decided I'm allowed to treat myself occasionally. It should arrive next week, but I'm excited about the addition of color to this device. I've been using it through my computer on the reMarkable app. Having it on my reMarkable will be even better. Of course, proof is in the pudding.

The high-pitched noise might bother me. I attended a conference this week where this noise was in the air, and it was rough being in that room. I'm supposed to be too old to hear those high-pitched sounds! So, I'm curious to find out what I think.

Thanks friend I found a remarkable 1 in the Goodwill for $5.00. I currently use the Samsung FOLD 6 as my daily driver. The Spen Pro works flawlessly on the remarkable. Needless to say I brought it and fell in love with it. Finding accessories for the remarkable 1 has been challenging.

What's the handwriting to typed text feature like across the two devices? Accurate?

Great video thank you. been deliberating on this as I am a paper and pen person but can never find my notes quickly ... because they are all in one of 10 notbooks and it's too heavy to carry around daily ... Still thinking on it but may start with the Remarkable 2 then move up if I love it. Ty for the review!

In terms of the display, is the reMarkable Paper Pro quite a bit more yellow than the Boox Air 3C? Also, in your written Medium review, you mentioned that the Boox Air 3C uses "color e-ink technology"...I assume the Paper Pro is color as well, so what's the difference? Lastly, is it correct to say that the Boox Air 3C has dramatically less battery life? The Paper Pro is said to last up to 2 weeks, but I read about maybe 5 hours with the Boox Air 3C. Thanks!

Hi There, great video. Can you tell me which ReMarkable offers the best cloud storage features, e.g. Can I use my Box, OneDrive, Mega Storage within the ReMarkable to save notes and work on them

Hello, thanks for the analysis. I'm interested in these PRO questions.
In Languages, does it have Spanish menus? And can you send texts or written work via Bluetooth or USB C?
Thanks, I look forward to your response.

Thank you for the great video. Can I install a right to left language font that could be normally installed on the Windows operating system?

Hi, great video thank you. I am coming from sn iPad and I am surprised how dark the Remarkable Pro is (even the colours). Is the Remarkable2 brighter?

Thanks for this review. I'm new to the e-ink market, moving from an iPad. I just purchased the R2 but then weeks later the Pro version dropped. Now I'm not sure what to do. I might take your suggestion and buy the Pro, compare them myself, and return one of them within the allowed 100 days. My question is about the possibility of a R3. Is the Pro model the R3 that everyone was anticipating? Or is the Pro a completely new line of e-ink tablets for Remarkable that will have its own, separate upgrades? If so, do you think there will be a R3 coming in the future? I saw your other video about the possibility of an R3, but being new to this space, I can't tell if the Pro is the R3 or if they now have two signature devices (i.e. R1, R2, R3, etc. versus the Pro editions). I hope that makes sense! LOL Thanks!

Is the pro better at detecting handwriting and convert to typed notes?

Do they both feel like you are writting on a paper or is there a difference ?

Can they be connected to one drive or google drive ?
Or Evernote ?

Also a question, would you be able to showcase some of the colors more? Like its capable of a lot more colors than you can write with right? Or has the full capability of the 20, 000 colors not come yet? I could be mistaken but if you had images or other more colorful pdfs wouldn't it offer a better idea of the color capabilities? I could be totally mistaken just curious.

I’m interested in this but I’m worried the little bit of lag is going to drive me crazy
