Seems easy enough. This guy did it in his sleep.

After replacing the bottom 3 stage filters, an initial flush is required before connecting the 3 stage filters to the main RO membrane. This is required to prevent the residual carbon (grey colored water), from the initial 3 stage filters, to getting into the RO membrane (per installation manual).

Despite being incredibly tired and of course having those other concerns...your eyebrows are so telling, we completed this filter replacement together. Thank you, Nick L. You are a modern day hero.

This video SERIOUSLY needs to be removed and replaced with a proper version.
The biggest problem of all: according to this video you just replace the first 3 filters and connect everything back up.
This is a major issue - perhaps they are looking to sell more higher stage filters!?
Because the first step you should make when replacing the first 3 filters, before you remove any filter - remove the 'OUT' connection from end of the 3rd stage filter that goes up into the higher stages.
Then after you replace the filters for stages 1-3 - you MUST flush the system for a while to clear carbon grit and sediment.
As you must do with all carbon filter media.
I did this by unplugging that 'OUT' connection and after replacing the filters for stage 1-3, I then ran the water directly into the sink by lifting the filter assembly up there.
The water that came out for the first 10-20 seconds was completely gray and nasty.
Had I not removed that connection and 'flushed' those 3 filters - all of that gray water would have gone into the filters for stages 4-6. What a disaster this video is because that is instantly reducing the quality and life of the upstream filters/filtration.

The other thing that needs to be done in the re-make of this video:
Make the entire first section only about the 4 filters that need to be replaced every 6 months so they are all in the first section. The first time we're coming online to look for solutions on how to do the filter replacements, is 6 months after we first installed the system. We don't need replacement instructions on anything else until the 1 year mark.

So make the video into sections:
Section 1:
replacing filters 1-3 and 6 in one go (for 6 month filter maintenance)
and of course, INCLUDE the bit about flushing the first 3 filters from the 'OUT' output before proceeding on to the 6th stage filter
Section 2:
replacing filters 1-3 and 5 and 6 (for 1 year filter maintenance)
Section 3:
replacing all filters at the 2 year mark

I can't even imagine how many people have followed this video, and not flushed their system after replacing filters 1-3 and they are reducing the quality of their system upstream, causing themselves to have to replace more filters more often - and then they are most likely experiencing a less than optimal water quality because of all of the cardon dust they are introducing into the system upstream from filters 1-3 - and this really shouldn't ever happen.

I seriously implore @iSpring Water Systems to remove this video as soon as possible with properly updated step by step instructions that include my suggestions above. I got lucky and did a bit more digging before acting on the instructions of this video - and after seeing all the carbon dust that pumped out into my sink I'm so fortunate that I caught that error in this video so the remaining filters have a better lifespan and the water quality continues to be as good as possible.

AGAIN Don't forget the flush of the 3 pre-filters. Would be nice to CLEARLY show the tube that you need to removed to flush water INTO a suitable bucket.

That was helpful, thanks! They last two new replacement cartridges come with the compression type fitting and elbows that push into the cartridge. Slightly easier.

I have this RO system and I love it.! Super easy to change filters and mine also have quick connections for the tubes so no unscrewing needed so that’s a plus

I prefer this video over the newer video. The pace is slower on this one, which I like.

Wow! Bill Belichick's little brother was very helpful and informative doing this walk through video. He may have a career in coaching as well.

I really needed this video to figure out what way the stage 2 filter was placed in the canister. Thank you. Just watched again for the membrane. Excellent video. The customer service support from ISpring is phenomenal. Bravo to this company❤️

I love the product and the supporting videos. The only thing that troubles me is the repeated advice to hand tighten the canisters and then use the wrench to tighten them another "1/4 to 1/2 turn". I take that to mean use the wrench to tighten them another 90* to 180* after they are already hand tight. Seems very excessive to me.

The first time that I watched this video was my first time changing my filters. About 5 months before this post, a user named muckrak3r posted a month after my first filter change. I had no idea that a filter flush was required which means, well I don't know what it means actually. So, what was the water quality like after my first time changing the filters without flushing? What was I drinking? Not only did iSpring not include this information within this video, they lazily pinned a new filter flush video ( 4 or 5 months after muckrak3r's post) instead of creating an entirely new one. The newly pinned video helps, so thank you. But my god iSpring! You need to fix this asap!
