Did you know your refrigerator has a water filter? In this short, I show you how to change a Frigidaire water filter in our side by side refrigerator and also show you how to do the same in your fridge. Make sure you do this every 6 months!!

I changed water filter in 2020 GE fridge and ran 5 gallons through the dispenser and now the fridge won’t cool. Been over 24 hours and lost most of our food. What the heck could cause this just from changing the water filter? We unplugged fridge for 5 minutes, no help. Freezer is still cold and making ice. We will call someone out tomorrow if it isn’t cool by morning. 😖

If you have a pure source 3 Frigidaire model just push the filter in it’ll pop right out and push the new one in until it locks

my filter just like this is stuck. I have not changed it before. It's been 3 months since we bought it. How do I make it come out?

Mine won’t budge. It’ll drop down but won’t move left. I cannot pull it or unscrew it. It won’t budge.

You don’t have to change it every 6 months. It’s just recommended. It really depends on how much water you drink. I change mine once a year. I never have had an issue. Every 6 months seems like overkill. There’s no way it goes bad or stops working at the 6 month mark. My water always tastes good and fresh. The tap water does not. 🤷‍♂️

It's definitely not that easy almost impossible to remove the previous water filter because of the pressure build up not sure what to do
