The truck in Pokémon is most likely just a leftover from the beta map that was left there out of sight by the devs for a reason or most likely, by oversight. We now have screenshots of a scrapped island town in the middle of the map which we would most likely have reached by taking a boat from Vermillion and guess what, on that beta, unused map, there are a lot of trucks.

The mysteries are cool. But when the game is 10+ years old and no one’s figured it out. The devs should really at the minimum give a hint. Otherwise their work just goes unseen
