I love the shock some of these devs have for people not finding the secrets, but so many of the secrets are "something nobody would do, but one have to do 100 times at 3am under a blood moon in an obscure part of a map to trigger it".

A fun Batman Arkham City secret; when you're playing a new game plus you can use the line gun in one of the Riddler challenges before you technically get it in the story and The Riddler does comment on that with special dialogue.

There's an unfound Easter egg in bioshock infinite involving a saxophone and clarinet duo or something like that. I think a Dev revealed that it existed, but forgot how to activate it.

I immediately thought about the literal Easter egg in the Futurama PS2 game. It wasn't given away by a Dev or anything, but it known about for years and the method to see it without clipping the camera out of the map was only found a year or so ago by OddHeader and SlippySlides, both great Easter egg channels, and it's pretty obscure.

A similar one was for Halo Reach for the flyable pelican and phantom! It was not revealed perhaps a long time after release but after a year or so people were asking so much for flyable pelicans that in a blog post they confirmed there are in the game with a screenshot of the New Alexandria mission (where you fly around the city in a falcon). After that the commnunity joined forces to deeply search for it, which to be activated you had to activate a hidden button and afterwards fly a falcon or banshee through a building which had a huge hole through it, after that the vehicle would transform to a pelican or phantom. It was so epic and awesome! I was of the crowd that always wanted to fly one so to finally do it felt so good, thanks good ol' Bungie!

The incarcerate plasmid was my favorite. I loved imprisoning those damned splicers.

There was an entire side quest in Final Fantasy IX that was only found a few years ago. It didn't have a huge reward or anything, but it wasn't listed anywhere on the web for something like fifteen years!

I loved the secret tennis court in skate 3 that took 5 years to find. It is still so hard to reach but it was amazing lol 😂

I would've never found all the letter scraps and spaceship parts from GTA 5 without the internet.

Also bought Homefront The Revolution and played it all the way through just to unlock TS2 in full. I feel dreadful, because Homefront isn't a bad game, just not my thing. I even finished the last level since I got that far. Ts2 tho, worth it.

In the Super Nintendo version of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, there's a hidden flamethrower weapon in Level 22 that is incredibly difficult to find.
First, you have to get to Level 22, which by itself isn't too hard if you know what you're doing. The hard part is getting to this level and having an extra Skull Key in your inventory. This isn't easy as they are an extremely rare random drop from container items like chests, curtains, cabinets, etc. and there are no spare Skull Keys in Level 22 to be found. There _is_ an extra Skull Key hidden under a fire in Level 15 - travel to the south-west corner of the map where a small island is located. Put out the fire with the Squirt Gun or Fire Extinguisher to get the key, then hang onto it for 7 levels.
Once you get to Level 22 and have the Skull Key, you have to traverse the mazelike level to get to the Skull Door with a Bonus Level icon behind it. Grab the icon and go to the right wall of the room. There's a secret passage there that contains the Flamethrower weapon. No one knew where it was until one of the Konami devs explained it during an interview.

Nice to see Chris Kline get some spotlight for bioshock. I actually had his mom Carol as a teacher in Jr. High in upstate NY and she knew I was a bioshock fan and when Bioshock 2 came out he sent me a early copy. Chris if you see this thanks so much for helping on all the bioshocks and bringing it to life, also your mom was a cool teacher, hope you're enjoying retirement 😎

I love the fact the dev forgot his own code. Nice to know I'm not the only one with the memory of a grain of rice...

the secrets in the batman games require such attention to detail that the only one who could reasonably have been able to discover them in their own would be like. . .Batman himself.
