Let’s be real, half of these videos weren’t so much about the dogs as it was about the owners flexing how much cash they have. Showing how pampered the dog is ultimately is just a way to flaunt how much free time they have by not working and how much they can invest in trivialities

On more than one occasion in my life, I've seen a mother totally excited over a new dog costume, when the children need new shoes. It's insane.

Lived in California until 2 years ago. The amount of people dressing their dogs, doing their dogs hair, spending hundreds each month to literally treat their pets like children, was insane. They advocated so hard for body choice, never spoke about children in foster care and instead just wrecked some poor dog's psych by substituting with a "furbaby"
